“American” is not a race, it’s a nationality.

If your intent is to adhere to the constitution, only #1 should be answered. If you answer any others, even with “N/A”, it implies you agree the questions can be asked and you are answering the ones you feel like answering. Also, answering “N/A” to one of them begs the question of why the others wouldn’t also be “N/A” under your reasoning that you only have to answer what the constitution requires. Consistency is the key.

You're too serious & way too technical. I am answering "American" because I want to answer the question my way, not the Census prescribed way. Maybe I will answer it "Native Norwegian/Polish/English-American" since I was born as a native in America with a mixture of European nationalities, just to cover all my bases along with wanting to be a hyphenated-American like all the dumb ass liberals push for their victimized minority classes.

And I will answer my non-answers as N/A and you can answer or not answer as you see fit. N/A is Not Applicable and that is what the questions are. Plus I am looking to open a can of whoop-ass on whoever the poor sucker is that comes to get me to answer the questions their way.
