President Obama, launching a last-ditch push to pass health care legislation in the next 10 days, left no doubt Monday that he was ready to roll over any opposition by taunting Republicans that they had 10 years to fix health care and didn't

Mr. President, the healthcare system wasn't too bad until the Progressives overloaded it with people that didn't pay for it...like illegal aliens that get it for free at our expense. It wasn't so bad until the Government would not allow interstate competition of insurers. It wasn't so bad until parasitic lawyers found out they could win multimillion dollar law suites for people that spilled hot coffee in their laps or for someone who had smoked 4 packs a day for 40 years. Neither are these parties really appear to have been interested in the welfare of the American people until the Tea Party came along.

The bill is a bad one. Since the Feds are unable to even protect our borders and deport illegal aliens, I certainly do not trust them with something as complex as our health care system.

by taunting Republicans that they had 10 years to fix health care and didn’t

Hey, 0bama, most Americans are very happy with their healthcare, which happens to be the best on the planet.

Keep the pressure up with faxes and calls especially to house members.

What an arrogant, offensive SOB. There was nothing essentially “wrong” with health care that couldn’t have been handled with some adjustments to the existing way of doing business. But that’s precisely what Bambi doesn’t want, because it wouldn’t hand over absolute power to him.

To hear all those cheering people at these rallies, I am hard pressed to believe these things are not staged with SEIU members who are bussed in. That they can set up one of these town hall meetings on short notice and get only true believers strains credulity.

... Republicans that they had 10 years to fix health care and didn't ...

They didn't have to. When the GOP was in power, people had jobs and assoicated health benefits.

A naked Rahm Emmanuel can verbally assault as many members of Congress in the Congressional gym shower room as he wants, but it won’t change that fact that the public is overwhelmingly opposed to this bill.

Nice way for him to “reach out” and be bipartisan. Trashing the other side, as always. Then we hear dolts like Rather say he is a “very nice person.” BS. He always struck me as snide.

Have a barf bag before reading Garrison Keillor’s latest column. He refers to 0 as a very kind and gracious man who looks better and better because his opponents are such crude louts. Kind and gracious leaders do not insult and bash their opposition and then say I am reaching across the aisle. What a joke this whole presidency is.

All the jerk knows how to do is campaign...

Barack Obama got downright fiery today, in a speech on health care at Arcadia University in Pennsylvania, lambasting insurance companies for their ever-higher premiums. “They will keep doing this for as long as they can get away with it,” he said. “How many more Americans have to lose their health insurance? …. When is the right time for health insurance reform?”

He also blasted Republicans for playing politics on the issue. “I’ll be honest with you,” he said, voice rising to a fever pitch, “I don’t know how passing health care will play politically, but I do know it’s the right thing to do! It’s right for our families, it’s right for our businesses, it’s right for the United States of America, and if you share that belief, I want you to stand with me and fight!”

Prince oogah boogah doesn't want to "fix" healthcare...he wants to destroy the entire system so that the government can take it over.

Never lose sight that this obamacare is about "power", no your health.

Repubs have been offering him what it will take to "fix" healthcare, but he ain't hearin' it...you'd think with ears that big, he could.

In his speech, Obama also revived his criticism of Washington political culture, something he promised during his 2008 campaign to change with more bipartisan outreach. He said much of Washington is obsessed with “the sport of politics,” and he argued that the short-term focus on elections is hindering his effort to bring about long-term reforms in fields such as health care.

The public is “not worried about the next election. We just had an election,” he said to cheers. “They’re worried about the next pay check or the next tuition payment that’s due. They’re thinking about retirement.”
