The reporter who was interviewing President Obama when he famously swatted a fly is suddenly the buzz of DC, thanks to a New York Post gossip item about his marriage.
According to unnamed "spies" for Page Six, CNBC Washington correspondent and New York Times writer John Harwood has split from his wife Frankie Blackburn, and it's all because of an alleged romance with Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.)
The Post's March 5 column quotes anonymous "well placed sources" who claim Harwood managed to keep the sordid details out of one DC paper "by sobbing to a reporter until he agreed to kill the story."
A Cantwell spokesman had no comment about the rumor. As for Harwood, he reportedly told Page Six: "I don't feel comfortable talking about my family life." But, the sobbing part "is absolutely not true."
Among the men SeattleWeekly.com lists in the senator's dating history: lobbyist Ron Dotzauer, ESPN anchor Charlie Steiner, former New Jersey senator Robert Toricelli and lawyer Jim Johanson.

Instead he came and started sobbing about how much he loved her and pleading for me to stop seeing her.
This is why your young lady decided to have an affair with you. Women really don’t like to be married to pussies.
[Before reading the article, I must ask]: was the Senatrix sleeping with John Harwood, or with his wife?
He works for the Journal but writes like he works for the New York Times. Why am I not surprised to find that he likes liberal chicks?
“New York Times writer John Harwood”
Ha, I quickly read the thread title as ...John Hardwood...!
Or is it a payback to Harwood? The Obama / Rahm minions want to destroy the entire political / media establishment if they’re anything but agog over the Obama agenda.
Check out what happened to Senator Bob Packwood.

ROTFLMAO!!
wow, really?
you are very lucky that he wasn't setting you up.
Cause why would a "crying" little wimp hurt you?
but maybe after a couple of years you're victim of some random violent robbery.
Sorry, but there are "rules" and not screwing a married woman is one of them. It's just trouble and nothing good comes from that. Kinda like the rule about not screwing your friend's girlfriend, not screwing your friend's sister unless you marry her.... you know? Just the basic "guy" rules.
The crying thing is what would worry me. A lot. Especially if she left him.
I understand that she is quite a baseball player, at least, I remember a lot of comments about her abilities as a switch-hitter. Those date back to her to her term as a Congresswoman. I heard these rumors independently from a couple of people who had known Cantwell for years.
Well, we all know the mainstream media is in bed with Democrat politicians, don’t we?
You are a BAD BOY. Go stand in the corner for the next 15 minutes!
It is my understanding that Cantwell is filthy rich.
Shortstop???

About Maria Cantwell
Maria Cantwell currently serves as a United States Senator for the State of Washington. As a respected leader — both in public service and in the private sector — Maria has always embraced the values she first learned growing up in a strong working-class family. With the help of Pell Grants, Maria was the first member of her family to graduate college. Later, a successful businesswoman in Washington’s hi-tech industry, she helped build a company that created hundreds of high-paying jobs from the ground up. Maria was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2000 and again in 2006, pledging to honor the hard work, aspirations, and faith of the people of Washington state. She is working to create affordable opportunity for consumers, businesses, and families, to make our nation more secure today, to foster innovation for tomorrow, and to stand with parents as they educate and care for their children.
Maria gets results. She cut taxes for the middle-class by ensuring that Washington taxpayers can deduct state and local taxes from their federal returns. She fought attempts by the Bush Administration to raise local electricity rates. When bankrupt Enron officials tried to charge Washington ratepayers for millions of dollars in undelivered electricity, Maria led the effort that successfully stopped them. Maria has protected countless jobs in Washington’s aerospace industry by cracking down on foreign companies’ unfair trade practices and has worked to create still more well-paying jobs through effective investments in new technology and valuable job training. Maria successfully led the fight to stop drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and is leading efforts in the Senate to make America more energy independent. She has been a proud advocate for better educational opportunities for our children and less expensive, more accessible health care for our families. Maria continues to build new growth and strong partnerships, insisting on responsibility and making life more affordable for all of Washington ‘s families.
"Oh please. And the competition is what...Boxer, Snowe, Collins......"
You got it! :)
She doesn't want drilling, but she's going to make us more energy independent..............
?
A real contradiction, huh?
Save the planet so it can be “pristine” when a big chunk of space rock nails it and performs a Master Reset.
Some Senators really believe that without them,, we would be lost. There are no rules who can serve in the Senate beyond age and residency... and we pay dearly for it.
