Imagine the worldwide hair lighting on fire had that happened. It was bad enough when yellow cake was hidden by glasses of mint tea in Niger from one of the Bush hating torches. Barney Frank would have gone straight, found his false teeth, worn them and lit his hair on fire if we invaded several nations. We didn't. We drew them into Iraq and we killed them there. Simple and genius...

This great article was originally written on July 9, 2009. American Thinker published it today, and this Iraq post-election day seems a wonderful time to thank President George Bush for our victory in Iraq.

He was domestically, but he did achieve what this article states, and no one else before him was able to do it.

Bush never aggressively defended himself from the vilest accusations. He didn’t “bring the folks” along and let the Brown SHirt Media turn him into a punching bag. Now we have Zero. There it is.

Go back and read this article, all of it. I hated the âWe should only be in Afghanistanâ argument. The lefties, like Obama, complained that we caused the problem in Iraq. They were right and now we own the crossroads of the middle-east.
Vindicated (for the war at least).

I did right to my friend, who was training in Parris Island (he is now a cop in the South End),to shoot any car he feels is suspicious if he is assigned to Lebanon. This was before the successful attack on the Marine barracks there.
I called that one correctly. The Marine commander who watched his mail gave him my mail to him as a joke, but I wasn't joking.
I confess I did not forsee the 9/11 attack. As the WTC towers were not in a foreign land, I wasn't even thinking about it.

There it is.That was his real mistake even more than the spending (congress has the power of the purse. Why couldn't the Republicans reign in their appetites?).

I miss him for many reasons but more than anything else, I miss his integrity.
We are once again stuck with a lying ‘Rat President who lacks integrity.

When he needed support, we looked away (illegal immigration was far more important apparently). Obama is what happens when good men do nothing.
Put the blame where it belongs.....GWB did the right thing and crushed AQ, while the rest of the nation whined.
BTW, we won the war in Iraq the moment GWB announced he was going against everyone and escalating the war...not running away. That was a real Profile In Courage!

I agree. George Bush was a real blessing and those eight years (with the Socialist Democrats yammering “Bush lied” and “waterboarding”)were good years. They look better every day.
The things they accuse him of are the things they do. Two-faced hypocrites all.

Secure borders are crucial to our national security. Our country has been overrun by ~ 20-40 million illegal aliens (per Bear-Stern's study) whose presence is making a major contribution to the deterioration of our national security, our economy, the integrity of our elections, and our culture.

GWB did more to secure the borders than anyone since Eisenhower....but it’s a good thing illegal immigration activists threw him under the bus.
We’re so much better off now with all those illegals still here, unidentified, and on the public dole...seen any workplace raids lately?
Don’t worry though, the immigration bill Obama and the Dems ram through will be so much better for the country than the one GWB supported (I’m sure).
Look at the bright side, another three years of Obama and there won’t be much difference between Mexico and the US anyway, so maybe some of them will leave on their own.
