The South Carolina Republican is considered to be a key player in the administration's strategy to close the detainee camp at Guantanamo. He supports shuttering the facility but opposes trying the alleged architects of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks in civilian court.

I can think of only one acceptable condition for closing Gitmo.

Well, Graham has been urging us to close Gitmo for a year, so I doubt he’ll be any MORE persuasive now.
The trials should be military tribunals because that is the right thing to do, not be some sort of political pawn. Graham does a disservice by allowing political dealmaking into the process.

I am at a loss to understand why RINO’s and Democrats are so determined to close Gitmo.
If these terrorists are too dangerous to be released, then where else are they going to be imprisoned?
