To further add to the mix, a considerable amount of the criminal element are now painting the tips of their Real Weapons with an orange tip. Its easy to understand their reasoning. Once again, Law Enforcement find themselves in a deeper hole. Ironically, if this criminal who has no criminal record and is allowed to own this weapon in the first place, there is no law preventing him from painting the tip of his real gun orange in the attempt to make it appear as a toy.
You would think that this would be the end. Not so.
We also have several so called law abiding citizens complete with Concealed Carry Permits who are also painting the tips of their weapons orange. The worst offender is an individual named Leonard Embody.

Look up "Draco pistol".
That's a current, popular variant.

Mr. Embody likes to cause confrontation with this behavior-it has been documented in various Glocktalk threads and Free Republic threads. I beleive he also has a “Blog” on his activities.

I did the same with my AK AKs are awesome. I have an underfolding Romanian one.
I ain't painting it though.
The safety is impeded in folded mode. Not cool.
Cheap aftermarket folding accessory, I guess.
Oh, well.. unfold and throw down! ;-)

A dumbass idea. What prevents one from paining their uzi’s barrel orange as camouflage?
I mean, whats the point?

Pardon me but now I’m all confused. First and foremost I want to be sure I am following the letter of the law.
Regarding my grenade launcher, do I paint the tip of the barrel orange or the tip of the grenade? Or maybe both just to be sure?

Truth be told there is no such thing as a toy gun. Indeed. When we were kids we weren't allowed to point toy guns at each other and were taught to aim at birds, car tires, etc. One afternoon, my cousin and I were playing cops and robbers, ignoring the rule. My mother came out to the porch and gave us a verbal lashing. We protested because we weren't using BB guns. "I DON'T CARE" was her reply.

See.. the selector can't go down into "fire" mode with the stock folded.
The support arm impedes the selector.
Who thought THAT up???

Wouldn’t surprise me a bit!
