Even Judy Dench. She is the SAME in every movie! This is my take on Sandra Bullock, tonight's favorite to win ... didn't see the movie, but seriously, was it such a stretch that it garners a Best Actress statuette? From the commercial bits/trailers, I don't see it.
Not that any are Oscar worthy, but I can't watch any film with Jennifer Aniston in it either, same thing, she is always playing Rachel. snooze

Boohoo, people in NY won’t get their TV. Why is this national news and not local, NYC news?

Watching bloviating aristocrat wanna-be’s disparage the history and culture of what most of them consider lower class American peasantry is not my idea of a fun Sunday evening. I'll pass.

The dispute is another example of how networks are struggling to find profits as advertising revenue dwindles ...
Who watches ABC - let them die out.
Without the NY area - ABC's demographics will go down and thus their advertising rates will go down. Way to go CABLEVISION.
To: Libloather
Hey a white out would work just as well.
I'm going to turn my tv on and tune to a different channel even if I not watching, just in case some rating company counts my system.

I've become a big fan of NCIS...USA carries all the back episodes and I record them and have watched as many as 4 in a day skipping commericals.
Any way I quit watching the oscars when a movie I walked out of won best picture. I don't remember the year, but the movie was "The Piano", hated it and all the hollywood self lovers loved it...
I don't mind looking at the still pictures of the movie babes that show up all over the internet the next day.

Uh, could you have them turn the Oscars off at my house while they’re at it? You seen one circle-jerk, you seem ‘em all.

No great loss. But I guess watching the Libs pat themselves on the back yet again is important to some people.

My viewing tonight will consist of: Gonzaga vs Loyola Marymount, the season ending episode of Big Love (it's a trainwreck, but entertaining...Harry Dean Stanton and Bruce Dern are off-the-charts wicked), and finishing up the tax returns I haven't completed, thanks to my Sunday afternoon Freeping.
Oscars? Blecchh.

Oh, is it Oscar time?
I can't remember the last time I watched the Oscars. I think I was a teenager.

Why should Cablevision pay ABC to run ABC’s ads??
At least with Fox and CNN, Cablevision can run their own ads during the commercials.

Is Joan Rivers doing pre game show of Oscar
I don't think so, she got her face drawn so tight she can't move her lips. When she tries, her ears wiggle........

“... Joan Rivers doing pre game show of Oscar...?
Several years back she did the red carpet. She was interviewing some black actor and he had called her ‘Old Yeller’. She went ballistic. Quite funny.

I do not watch any of the award shows. Do not watch the modern movies or sitcoms either.
