Let's focus on winning in 2010.
I hope a strong conservative Republican emerges, who can also bring in independents to beat Obama.

Some of these names are bizarre. Whitman, Kasich? They are at best fifty fifty to when their governor races. Why didn’t Barnes list Hutchinson, Paul, Limbaugh, Hanity, me? As long as we are throwing crap against the wall.

I am tied down to conservative principles. I won’t vote for a RINO.

If it’s another RINO like McCain, I’ll simply vote third-party like I did in 2008.

Perry? NO. NO. NO.
Did Barnes serious call Kay Bailey Hutchison “the darling of the Texas Republican grandees”?? He is showing serious ignorance.
No one should take Perry’s primary win this week as an indication of his popularity here in Texas. He won because there were no good candidates in the race.
Please, NO!

Question: giving speeches, endorsing Republican candidates, appearing on Fox News, writing a second book, and trying to develop a TV show.(incorrect though, actually trying to produce a documentary) makes one not likely to run for President?

NOT Perry.
I’m still leaning DeMint, Pence, Bachmann, Palin, Hunter or Barbour.
No Mitt, Newt, Huck or any of those other RINOs, please.

No need to be tied down, but the rank and file Republicans want Sarah Palin 1n 2012!

The list is long: Mitch Daniels, John Kasich, Meg Whitman, Bobby Jindal, Haley Barbour, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Tim Pawlenty, and Jim DeMint. And Perry. You'll notice I haven't mentioned Sarah Palin or Newt Gingrich. ... LOL!
To: SmartInsight
Palin seems to feel no urgency about 2012. She may be planning a presidential run, but there's no evidence of it. Actually, Sarah is the only one who has said that if the circumstances are right, she will run.
Instead, she's giving speeches, endorsing Republican candidates, appearing on Fox News, writing a second book, and trying to develop a TV show.
As if this precludes Sarah from running.
Barnes seems to have an agenda here. Either that or he's an idiot.
To: SmartInsight
All these names other than Sarah Palin mean little or nothing to me.
The GOP Establishment wants to throw everybody they can into the mix so votes will be split for a Mitt Romney win.
That’s the way I see it. Romney is the new Dole and the new McCain and the primary process will be manipulated so Romney wins it.
Sarah is the chicken salad candidate and the rest are the chicken s*** candidates. They are pawns for Romney and the GOP political machine.
