You know it is interesting, as I scout articles on this fine Saturday. I do not see any trolls. I see no blind defense of Obama on a Saturday. Does their handler give them the weekend and all Federal holidays off? Has anyone else notice this pattern?

Wrong, the COLB is merely an abstract, not a copy of anything, except in some sense the data it portrays. The information comes from the state's computer database, and the original information could have come from a Certificate of Live Birth or a Certificate of Hawaiian Birth. The same Certificate is filed for hospital births, and non hospital births, it's just filled out a bit differently. If the birth is more than a year before the filing, then the certificate, must note that, which be reflected on the COLB's date of birth and date filed fields.

But, since the COLB does not report the hospital, nor the doctor/witness, we really have no way to check the underlying truth of the COLB. It could reflect perfectly the information on the original certificate, and still be false, if the original certificate was filed with false information.

That said, unless the long form shows some then US Citizen as the father, Junior is not a natural born citizen.

That COLB materialized magically on the Fight The Smears web site and nobody seems to have ever taken credit for it, its origin is a mystery and its true authenticity has never been verified.

Presidential press secretary Gibbs has taken credit for it, on more than one occasion. Generally while making fun of someone asking to see either the real paper document, or a certified paper copy of the original long form certificate.

I don’t recall the WH, Obama, the Press Sec’y or anybody else in a position of authority having ever said “Yes, this is the official copy we requisitioned from the dept of records in Hawaii.” They have never shown a paper copy in a press conference. It’s always been in passing and in a joking manner as you say. Correct me if I’m wrong here.

Correct. Gibbs did not say it came from. He did say "he" and once "they", meaning the campaign, put it on the internet.

They are sneaky, but I don't think that will help them when it's finally shown to be a fake. He'll be the first one to go to jail.
