“the parents told deputies they were worried that he had purchased a gun.”
Oh Oh... Here it comes. Psych evaluations for all gun buyers.

You can apologize for Janet Incompetano and 0bamao and his regime all you want, but they seem to have enough time and resources to spy on hard working, loyal citizens, many of whom served their country in the armed forces, BUT they can't seem to track people who are flagged by their family as threats. Maybe the family's report in this case was not quite clear enough for the first grade dropouts that are in the 0bamao administration, but the FIRST thing I heard about this guy was that he was a left wing "truther" who had a grudge against the government. That SHOULD'VE attracted some attention!

The guy probably thought he was in Palmdale. Hey, who knew they built a subway out there???
To: Free ThinkerNY
The guy sounds like an “IRS” copy cat.

Or maybe just ‘boomerang’ kids. At his age, most of us were already working and living away from the nest.

No particular reason why the report of a missing person whacko on the far side of the country should alert Pentagon guards or National Security.
The case of the panty bomber was quite different. He was an Islamic terrorist risk and should have been on the no fly list, or at least on a list to be carefully searched. In fact, they knew who he was, but evidently decided to arrest him after he landed.
THAT was pure stupidity. This was just bad luck that he turned up where he did.

Bingo, good call.
What they should do, to stop copycats, is to photograph the dead mutilated corpses. Takes the “glamour” out of it...

The only known terrorist group that Bindell was associated with was the Democratic Party. Democratic Party spokesperson quickly labled Bindell as really a right wing nut who infiltrated the Demoratic party, and was known to be a Tea Party member for the past 15 years. (sarcasm off)

How is it that a person who had a Missing Persons report filed for them in California can walk-up to a subway station in Washington, DC without being noticed? Exactly. Unless there was a specific threat made against the Pentagon, I'm not sure what the LEOs could be expected to do...

How is it that a person who had a Missing Persons report filed for them in California can walk-up to a subway station in Washington, DC without being noticed? They haven't installed those systems that recognize individual faces in crowds everywhere yet.

Proof once again of the silliness of relying upon gubmint for protection.
If being “upset and ... hav[ing] a gun” was illegal, 3/4 of the US population could be locked up. Joe Stark was “upset and had an airplane.” A few years ago there was an islamic creep who was “upset and had an SUV” which he drove into a crowd.
Gubmint can only come in afterwards and determine who is guilty and meet out punishment.
It is up to individuals to protect themselves.
