Charlie Rangel yesterday was granted a face-saving "leave of absence" as House Ways and Means Committee chairman, pending the outcome of multiple ethics investigations.
A "leave of absence"?
He should be in handcuffs.
Consider where you'd stand with the IRS and the FBI if you:
* Failed to report and pay taxes on rental income from a Dominican villa (as The Post first revealed two years ago).
* Failed to report on millions of dollars in assets, bank accounts and property, going back seven years.
* Used congressional stationery to seek donations for a CUNY educational center named after you.

Only true punishment he will ever see is when he dies. Seems to be that way with all the corrupt POS in DC. Hell of a racket they have going ya know!
I have more respect for looterguy than I do for Rangel. No wait... he is looterguy. Good heavens.. he stole from the company he works for. Fire his butt and prosecute.
There will ba a political Firestorm, if he tries to come back. I think this Leave of Absence is the last we will se of Charlie as head of Ways and Means.
I never thought I would live to see it happen.
I called my Congressman (a Blue Dog democrat) earlier this week and told him if I did what Rangel did I would be in jail.
I hope you gave him a mouthfull about Obamacare while you were at it!
Rangel is 79 years old, grossly overweight. Being black and obese he is probably suffering from hypertension. At his age he has probably already suffered considerable (if unseen) end-organ damage and from listening to him speak and breath he is probably in early CHF. I predict he will be be dead within a year. Good riddance to such an evil and worthless POS!
I’ll start to believe in our justice system when Rangel is in jail.
Chance? Zero.
Rangel hasn’t even risen to the accomplishment of dead Ted.
I do that once a week.
Luke 16
25”But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’
look up “imprecatory prayer”
