The Presbyterian Church in the United States (PCUSA) is about to release a report which denounces Israel as a 'racist' nation which has absolutely no historical, covenantal, or theological right to the Holy Land.
The report calls for the United States to withhold financial and military aid to Israel and for boycotts and sanctions against Israel.
The report also endorses a Palestinian 'right of return' and 'apologizes to Palestinians for even conceding that Israel has a right to exist.'
According to the press release, it also states that Israels history begins only with the Holocaust and that Israel is 'a nation mistakenly created by Western powers at the expense of the Palestinian people to solve the "Jewish problem"
"In 2004, this Church became the first mainline Protestant denomination in America to 'approve a policy of divestment from Israel.'
This was rescinded, but in 2008 the Church 'created a committee dominated by seven activists holding strong anti-Israel beliefs.
The lone member sympathetic to Israel, quit in protest when he saw their radical agenda.'

Yes. That's what we were trying for. Less "church" and more Jesus.
Did your congregation have to go to court to accomplish this?
“Racist Nation” = refusal to roll over and allow themselves to be beheaded by Hamas.
That sums it up well...
The wife and I checked out their local church 8 years ago or so. Seemed nice did things in the community. I checked into theri beliefs from the synod, and forget it. The local church might have been fine, but how could a Biblical church remain under that kind of PC, and outright evil direction? We left and continue to pray for them.
Exactly right. The other MAINLINE Protestant churches are similar. It's hush-hush at the local level. They won't say in church that they're getting abortion coverage in their medical plan.
“If you would happen to go there, they’re so desperate for members, they’d be thrilled to see you.”
I am quite happy where I worship now. If I was going to ever switch to a different church, it would not be Presbyterian.
You mean unlike the ancient Jews in the days of Yehoshu`a Bin Nun who never discriminated, never hurt anybody, never conquered anything, and went around building "museums of tolerance?" [/sarcasm]
