It remains to be seen if he has the votes in the Senate to accomplish anything with or without the filibuster. His real problem is the House. If doing what they are planning were such a slam dunk, they would have done it in January or December.
A false front is being shown by Obama/Reid/Pelosi to get House Democrats to enact the Senate Health Care bill - Nebraska corn-husker Louisiana purchase Union deal Florida payoff - warts and all. Obama will not care a whit if the Senate passes a reconciliation bill or not. Health Care would be mission accomplished, disaster for America.
