UK: Pupils aged 5 on hate register: Teachers must log playground taunts for Government database
The Daily Mail (U.K.) ^ | March 4, 2010 | RYAN KISIEL and STEVE DOUGHTY

Posted on 03/04/2010 12:35:37 AM PST by Stoat

Heads will be forced to list children as young as five on school 'hate registers' over everyday playground insults.

Even minor incidents must be recorded as examples of serious bullying and details kept on a database until the pupil leaves secondary school.

Teachers are to be told that even if a primary school child uses homophobic or racist words without knowing their meaning, simply teaching them such words are hurtful and inappropriate is not enough.

Instead the incident has to be recorded and his or her behaviour monitored for future signs of 'hate' bullying.

The accusations will also be recorded in databases held by councils and made available to Whitehall and ministers to help them devise future anti-bullying campaigns.

The scale of the effort to stop children using homophobic or racist language was revealed after the parents of a ten-year-old primary school pupil in Somerset, Peter Drury, were told that his name would be put on a register and his behaviour monitored while he remained at school.

How long do you suppose it will be before this sort of thing happens here in the USA?

The UK is the land of PC mania. What will it take to unreel it all?

But concerns have been raised that the system turns everyday banter among children into incidents of racism or homophobia when none was meant.

Not too long.

Under the liberal paradigm, freedom of speech is fully supported, as long as it is “approved” speech. Dissention cannot be tolerated.

Oh it will unreel itself. The whole idealogy behind this stuff is totally flawed and unsupportable (in the long term)

The problem is how much damage it will do first.

The Labor and Conservative Parties, not to mention the Liberal Democrats are all part of the problem over there.

That means one has to vote for a third party over there.

How did we (as in the west) get to the point where liberals control so much of our lives ?

When life is going well, we do not get involved because we are busy running our OWN lives. The libs, on the otherhand, are like rust. They never sleep, rest or quit in their efforts to rule the roost. They usually pass these type rules in secret and no one finds out about it until they are hassling you.

Orwell seems to have underestimated ...

With apologies to our SENSIBLE British friends, he must have seen some flaw in the British character that might allow this...

What I'd like to know is: HOW THE H%LL MUCH DOES ALL THIS COST???? Surveillance cameras everywhere, people to answer the phone when you've got "something" to report...police being sent to investigate the wrong stuff being put in trash cans...honest to God, does anyone over there actually do anything productive? No wonder the Pound is ready to collapse (not that we're far behind)...

How did we (as in the west) get to the point where liberals control so much of our lives ?

Because they are sneaky bastards. Before the present administration they would do things slowly and incrementally using our morals and values to subvert us. They would always appeal to our better natures by "protecting the environment, protecting the children, standing up for oppressed minorities", etc., to slowly bind us with political correctness.

The wisdom of that approach, from their point of view, is now being illustrated by the push back of the American people against Obama and gang as they try to get it all at once.

The problem today is all the technical advances that make it easy for these nuts to set up databases, not to mention all the surveillance cameras in place in England. Living in England today sounds like a nightmare.

Perhaps students should just overload the system. Treat it as a joke. Set aside one day a year to scream insults at one another. Turn it into a national holiday. Drive the staff crazy as they try to record everyone’s name.

..and what the backlash will be. This won't be undone until people get so sick of PC insanity that it makes them mad. I foresee very bad times ahead for clueless PC imbeciles.
