The greatest scandal connected to global warming is not exaggeration, fraud or destruction of data to conceal the weakness of the argument. It is those who are personally profiting from promoting this fantasy at the expense of the rest of us. ...

Mr. Gore was laying his own foundations. As he was whipping up hysteria over climate change, he cannily invested in "green" firms that stood to profit in the hundreds of millions of dollars (if not more) from increased government regulations and sweetheart deals from connected politicians and bureaucrats. The multimillionaire climate dilettante was given a free pass by reporters, who refused to ask him hard questions about the degree to which he was profiting from the panic he was causing.

An embittered former Senator and Vice President Al Gore is seen here en-route back to prison after a federal appeals court refused to review his 20 year sentence for his lead role as spokesman in the “Climategate” fraud conspiracy.

The same court recently rejected the appeals of the lengthy sentences of the 137 alleged UN “scientists” – Gore’s co-conspirators – for falsifying data supporting so-called Cap and Trade legislation that trial testimony disclosed would have virtually destroyed what remained of the U.S. economy while unjustly enriching Gore and a cabal of insiders.

During his trial, Gore was notified by the Nobel Committee that he would have to return the large monetary prize and the gold metal awarded him in 2009. He told reporters that the last of his prize money had gone to the lawyers and Tipper pawned his medal when she left him for an achondroplastic dwarf NBA center and filed for divorce after his conviction.

Gore also had a lot of help.
Scientists who seemed serious, impartial and reasonable, who argued restraint, while couching their reasoned line on the assumption that , while not "settled," global warming was certainly going to destroy the world.

And then there's Ellen Goodman, the Science Retard, who not only coined the phrase "deniers," but to make sure her moron readers 'got' the connection, actually said that warming skeptics were right up there alongside holocaust deniers... That monumental gaffe should hound her until the day she dies.
I'll certainly keep reminding her!

Al Gore could become world’s first carbon billionaire

Last year Mr Gore’s venture capital firm loaned a small California firm $75m to develop energy-saving technology.

The company, Silver Spring Networks, produces hardware and software to make the electricity grid more efficient.

The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants, the New York Times reports. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts.

The move means that venture capital company Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years.
