Dallas-Fort Worth sports columnist likens our patriotism to Nazi Germany

An American sports columnist gets a bizarre Nazi flashback in Vancouver

By Cam Battley,

March 2, 2010

It took the investigative skills of intrepid Fort Worth Star-Telegram sports columnist Gil LeBreton to uncover the ugly truth. Like Edward R. Murrow in pre-Second World War Vienna and London, Mr. LeBreton put his personal safety at risk to file a brave report from the turbulent city of Vancouver.

Sure, Canadians seem multicultural, friendly and good-natured on the surface. But that's just what they want you to think. Dig a little deeper and you'll find that they're plotting to crush the world under their jackboots. Or snowshoes. Whatever.

Here's how Mr. LeBreton broke the startling news in his Feb. 28 column:

"Dateline: Vancouver, British Columbia. After a spirited torch relay ignited pride in every corner of the country, the Olympic Games began and quickly galvanized the nation. Flags were everywhere. The country's national symbol hung from windows and was worn on nearly everyone's clothing. Fervent crowds cheered every victory by the host nation. But enough about the 1936 Berlin Olympics ... "

So true. The parallels between Berlin 1936 and Vancouver 2010 are clear, if you just pay attention.

Not everyone has the perspicacity to discern the neo-Nazi threat north of America's borders. Fortunately, Mr. LeBreton does. Because he's more observant than most. He makes the cognitive connections others miss:

"For 17 days we were barraged with Canadian flags, rode buses and trains with people in sweatshirts and jerseys adorned with Canadian maple leafs, and were serenaded at venues by Canadian spectators, lustily cheering for Canadian athletes."

My God. It's spine-chilling.

The rest of the world was lulled into complacency and Olympic fever. But the Star- Telegram's crack reporter wasn't fooled by the crafty Canucks. Their display of patriotism reminded him of something. Something terrifying.

"I didn't attend the '36 Olympics, but I've seen the pictures. Swastikas everywhere."

You see? Maple leaf flag equals swastika. Damn you, Canada.

Now, I don't want to say that Gil LeBreton is the finest newspaperman of our age. That would be premature. But once Canada's true face has been fully revealed, I have no doubt that the gentleman will receive the Pulitzer Prize he so richly deserves.

Those Canadians, with their flags, their beer, their lusty cheering and their record number of gold medals by any country in any Winter Olympics ... they make me sick. Given Mr. LeBreton's Canada-Nazi revelations, it's a wonder Canada's closing ceremony flag bearer, figure skater Joannie Rochette, didn't goose-step into the arena.

Wake up, America. Wake up to the real threat. Gil LeBreton saw through the facade.

"Nice party. But so 1936." Don't be fooled by Canadians' maple syrup-sweet smiles. Today they have their arm around America's shoulders. But tomorrow, they'll have their boot on America's throat.

Nazis. I hate those guys.

Ping.

Methinks the writer from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram is frightened by dust bunnies and his own shadow. Canadians as Nazis? That is one HELLUVA stretch.

People have finally awakened to the Canadian plot for world conquest. Those maple-leaf-encrusted, LaBatt's-besotted fiends won't stop until every square inch of the planet is covered with hockey rinks and poutine. YES! POUTINE! Do YOU want your hog-lips-and-cow-pancreas hot dogs sullied by disgusting Freedom Fries covered in CHEESE CURD AND GRAVY? WELL, DO YOU?

I thought not.

As a U.S. citizen I apologize for Fort Worth Star-Telegram sports columnist Gil LeBreton. Canadians should understand that U.S. “journalists” are the most biased and dishonest people in the world. Even more biased and dishonest than politicians.

You see, Mr. LeBreton has a grudge against Hitler - he was successful in landing the Olympics; Obama wasn't.

Of course not. When the Curling Riots engulf Chicago, New York, and Amsterdam in flames, we're all gonna be sorry. Oh, they look so meek and mild, those curling gangs, but turn your back on them and POW! you got a 40-pound curling stone in the medulla oblongata. "Oh, it's only 20 kg," they tell you, but that's because the devious blackguards are using the METRIC SYSTEM!!

And the ice is made from fluoridated water, too.

“Talk about going out on a limb...”

No kidding. I’ve heard Gil on the radio a couple of times but I’ve never heard him say something so dumass.

I wonder what Randy Galloway would say about this?

Newspapers should just go out of business.

My Brother in Law bought a Dallas paper today.

Pg 3 the IRS plane crasher story, somehow they bring up TEA parties hating the IRS in the 2nd paragraph.

pg 5 Bunning single handedly denied unemployed benefits and cut MediCare payments until he was stopped by wonderful Democrats.

page 13- Medina and some other TEA party candidates lost, this shows the TEA parties were lukewarm. Guess who decides who is a Tea partier? lol.

page 20- Again an editorial that recites the same points and says TEA parties failed.

That is NOT journalism by any stretch of the imagination.

Moved away from Dallas about 20 years ago. It had become an
ACORN infested “third world” village. Now we have to deal with that Kenyan piece of marxist crap in the Whitehouse. This country has gone to hell. Time for revolution.

When IT hits its going to be worse than the Great Depression because so many more people live in big cities and because nobody has a clue how to take care of themselves.
