OK. How often has there been a 7.0 followed in 10 hours by an 8.8?
I just went and looked up the last greater than 8.0 quake. It was a 8.1 one on September 29, 2009 in the Samoa Islands, less than 15 hours later there was a 7.5 quake in Indonesia. I was kind of surprised.
