500 STOLEN 7-inch spike's

For no reason, but what does a fence give for a RR spike? Anyone know?

You can combine the spikes with explosives and have a very destructive bomb.

They weigh a little less than a pound each. Scrap steel is about $300 a ton in november. Really if you think about all the steel laying around in junk cars in back lots, rail sidings, old heavy steel pipes left in storage areas, old buildings,,,etc. It’s often even found out in the middle of nowhere. You can get to a ton pretty fast. Copper is better, but steel can be found everywhere,,unguarded.

Smugglers have been welding calthrops from big nails to use against border Patrol vehicles in pursuits. Railroad spikes seem large for that purpose but rather than selling them for scrap there may be something they are particularly and lucratively useful for due to their size and shap...e in addition to the normal use of holding tracks down.
