POLITICO Breaking News: -----------------------------------------------------

Very true.

And people forget how much can happen before November. This bill, like has been said, won’t take effect for a long time. Come November health care will be way down the list of things important to Joe Voter. The economy will be the most important factor in the mid-terms. I’m willing to bet on that.

God, I hate people who think that the GOP has some sort of magic powers that they're refusing to use. The fault is with Democrats. Period.

Very true.

The GOP needs to be commended for standing against this Bill as a united Party.

They can’t move forward on the Bill until the House passes the Senate version, and 205 votes won’t do it.

By 2012 you'll have people suckin' on the new teats and then it'll be over.

My understanding by 2012 none of the so-called benefits will be in place - only the taxes. Plus, if Obama keeps going the way he is, the government will be on the very verge of bankruptcy or already in it.

I think repeal of this bill will be the central issue of the 2012 campaign

The thing here with “health care” is that it’s not supposed to start until 2012 or such (after O’Bozo Uhbama hopefully is gone), so strictly speaking, repeal could happen before the populace has it, much less is used to it (SS example).

Either way, I doubt repeal would ever happen. Laws tend to keep adding up, not disappear.

Not true. The House is highly unlikely to pass the Senate bill before the Senate passes it’s reconcilliation bill. The Senate doesn’t need to wait on the House to proceed on it’s bill.

The House Blue Dogs won’t go for it.

Expect the reconciliation bill to come first, in the Senate at least.

Won't work since the Reconciliation Bill would do nothing to change the essential nature of the Senate version.

That won't cover the 'blue dogs' who swore they wouldn't vote for the Senate version, like Gene Green in Texas.

Mandated Inoculations
Universal Fees
Cigarette taxes
Excise tax
The USPS
Government Retirement Funds
The IRS
Fuel Tax
Blah, blah, blah, blah, etc, etc, etc, eye’s bleeding, head splitting....

“They can’t move forward on the Bill until the House passes the Senate version, and 205 votes won’t do it.”

That’s not true. There is nothing in the rules that would prevent the Senate from voting on the reconciliation conference report before the House votes on the Senate bill. The order that the bills pass is completely irrelevent. The only thing that matters is that the President signs them in the correct order. Pelosi can give the bills to the Pres in any order she wants.

Not with this Bill, since the 'benefits' don't kick in for four years!

The taxes begin immediately!

And this Bill will kill the economy even more since it raises taxes.

People are not going to forget in Nov.

"A few days ago, Pelosi tried desperately to change the term "Reconciliation" to "Simple Majority". RAT bastards."

Well, in Pelosi's case.... the emphasis is definitely on "Simple". If the commie Rats think they can get away with this, they're even dimmer than I previously estimated them to be. If they pull this off.... this, their latest treasonous action against the will of most Americans.... their tyranny will not stand.

This country rebelled against an entity that did a lot less (unfair taxation) than what the DemocRats have done to this country already. The only question now is....are their enough 'real' patriots left in America?

And the Senate won't risk the war on Reconciliation until they know that the House can pass the Senate version FIRST.

The House is going to have to pass the Senate version before Reconciliation begins.

Expect the reconciliation bill to come first, in the Senate at least.

The Reconciliation Bill does nothing to address the abortion issue so it won't change any 'Blue dog' votes.

Reconciliation is all smoke and mirrors, the only issue is the House and their simple majority vote for the Senate version.

I threw out 205 as a “for instance”. I don’t know how many they think they have, but I can guarantee you that however many they think they have, it’s a few less. Their thug tactics have been so strong, I’m sure they have a few who have hemmed and hawed about voting yes who will vote no.

I think 205 is accurate, it may be a little less.

This latest sales pitch by Obama isn't going to move anyone.

Reconciliation won't provide any political cover to the Blue Dogs.

And it can't handle the abortion funding issue, which is the real hurdle for the Bill.

Losing Murther and now Rangle is going to hurt her ability to strong arm Democrats to vote for a Bill the American People clearly do not want.

No, the Senate won't pass any Reconciliation Bills until the House passes the Senate version first.

Reconciliation is a promise being made by the Democrat Senate to help sell the Bill to get it passed.

They’re only stupid when it comes to cheating, lying, and manipulating. They don’t know how to do any of the above nor do they know how to handle it from the opposition. Not that I’d want them to resort to those tactics but that’s where we get trounced.
