POLITICO Breaking News: -----------------------------------------------------
Sen. Tom Harkin tells POLITICO that Senate Democratic leaders have decided to go the reconciliation route for health care reform. The House, he said, will first pass the Senate bill after Senate leaders demonstrate that they have the votes to pass reconciliation in the Senate.
Looks like the demoRats are intent on digging their own grave. I say give em a bigger shovel! If they don’t believe that they have pissed off the American people up till now, they’ll find out just how bad when they pull this crap.
And the House has to trust the Senate to pass a reconciliation bill after the House passes the Senate version and it can become law with a simple signature from the President?
1. Here is what seems probable. The House passes the Senate bill. 2. The Senate pretends to try and pass a reconciliation bill but fails because the GOP refuses to stop amending it. 3. The President steps in and signs the bill blaming the GOP for obstructing the process. 4. The House members have cover and blame the GOP for ending up with the bad Senate version.
They did have those magic powers. When they had control of the Government throughout 00’s. Instead along with Bush they helped create compassionate conservatism which was just another form of central planning.
They blew it and opened the door for this jackass.
Well, I hope you stew in your spite and your “Don’t blame me” bumper stickers.
How do we get organized? IF they pass this we have no choice. This country won’t ever be the same if we wait around for elections. They will have destroyed it. Elect a Kenyan Communist this is what you get. Big freaking surprise.
Yep, Don’t worry Lindsey Graham will do the right thing..
You misspelled Predictable.
Hope that helps.
I still think the dems are bluffing, they know this will seal their fate in Nov. Both houses will fall but the unknown is *if* the repubs will lay the groundwork and try to appeal it when a republican president is elected. That’s where the outraged voters come in and our jobs will be cut out for us.
Yep, just like an old B horror movie.
Just when you think you are out of the woods and safe good old boys Lindsey Graham and John McCain show up to terrify everyone again.
Call and raise Hell with Larson.
breaking news but unconfirmed: Rep. Massa (D-NY) retiring.
breaking news but unconfirmed: Rep Michael Acuri (D-NY) may switch from yes to NO.
Can anyone confirm that both Massa and Acuri both voted AYE back in November on Pelosicare.
I don’t think Byrd, Lieberman, or Nelson will vote for reconciliation either.
They do not care about November. Why is it that we cannot see that they do not care?
Nelson has already said he would. He has completely gone over the edge.
We may all hope that cooler heads would prevail in the Senate, as is its constitutional duty, but that premise is FALSE.
The battle is in the HOUSE
Either put their money where their mouths are or stay silent forever. Last thing we need is a new bunch of keyboard commandos thumping their chests and not doing a damn thing to back it up.

The one I love is “up-or-down vote,” as if there are other votes that are not up-or-down.
I totally agree. These people are doing this because they no longer fear the people, all tough talk, no action.
They do not care about reelection, they have until November to push communism on the country.
This will not be the last time in the next months that they will use reconciliation.
Count on it.
Once a door like this is opened, they will abuse it until We the People slam it shut in their faces.
We need to slam it quick, because the door is being removed from it’s hinges.
Great point!!!
