Whisked away from the Phoenix Multicultural Academy to the Roberto Clemente Learning Academy. Do these Detroit kids even have a chance?
That could be satire, but isn’t. “Students (from the Multicultural Academy) were transferred to the nearby Roberto Clemente Learning Academy,” which, I assume, is mono-Puerto-Rican-cultural. It does not benefit society as a whole for this student’s identity to be concealed. We are entitled to know what kind of homicidal maniacs are in our midst, and in our children’s midst.
If the bomb went off in downtown Detroit, it would do about $5 worth of damage.
If it were a ‘white’ student it would have been all over the news....by not naming race and Identity, they answered the unasked question...

Fun to play with, but the stuff is caustic, so some care must be taken.
Today's attitudes in schools mandate severe penalties for anything from a loud fart upwards, so this kid is probably facing 20 to life.
Do the kids actually do better since their public school uses the word “Academy” in its name? Just like how chrome valve covers make the car go faster?

I could think of dozens of other people - blacks and whites, living and deceased - for whom it would be more appropriate to name that school.
