I had low expectations, mainly because Christie was a prosecutor with no real political record so you had to take his word for it that he'd make the tough choices and hold to fiscally conservative principles. But I voted for him because I knew for 100% certainty that Corzine would not, and in fact was determined to do everything to make it worse.

I can't express how pleased I am to see this guy go after reckless spending like he was prosecuting a drunk driver who ran over a kindergarten class. If the unions and the mob don't manage to leave him under the 50 yard line at the new Giants stadium we might start to see some glimmers of hope.

Christie is the template for the incoming red governors in blue states. One point to remember here is that he’s pushing executive power to the max and bypassing the legislature. I favor this approach as these are truly emergency times but if and when he gets things right in the state we will need to revisit the scope of governor powers. The Bamster is using a good crisis to try to expand his powers. Christie is doing it to save NJ. The Bamster is doing it to destroy the US. Just something to keep in mind.

But we absolutely need to wage war on the pub employee unions. They are thugs and criminals that need to be disbanded.
