The Lake Elsinore man pleaded guilty in May 2000 to molesting a 13-year-old female neighbor and served five years of a six-year prison term. Prosecutors said he lured the victim to his home with an offer to watch "Patch Adams," a 1998 movie starring Robin Williams. The girl was beaten before escaping and running to a neighbor. Gardner "never expressed one scintilla of remorse for his attack upon the victim" despite overwhelming evidence, prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo.
He had faced a maximum of nearly 11 years in prison under terms of a plea agreement but prosecutors urged six years. A psychiatrist who interviewed Gardner, Dr. Matthew Carroll, wanted a stiffer punishment, saying in court documents that he was a "continued danger to underage girls in the community."
Gardner was on parole for three years, until September 2008, state records show.
San Diego police say Gardner is positively linked to an assault on a 22-year-old Colorado Springs, Colo., woman who managed to fend off her attacker on Dec. 27 in Rancho Bernardo Community Park on the northern edge of San Diego, where King's 1994 BMW was found with her belongings inside.

Yes, and it is difficult to get through their little heads, mine just turned 16, and is wanting to drive to dance a couple of nights a week . . . they have to park and walk about a block . . . I told her “maybe” when daylight savings time kicks it but for now I will take you and your Dad will pick you up. Then they throw the don’t you trust me line, and I say yes but I don’t trust the murderers and rapists. I’m not sure of the age to get a permit in AL . . . heck I just got mine last month, quit shooting for many years until now that the kids are older.
Even the idea of an "uncontrollable" urge is one of the results of psychiatry. Dr. Anthony Daniels has written several books (under the pen name of Theodore Dalrymple) based on his experience as a prison doctor in Great Britain, and concludes that "addictive" behavior is merely habit sanctioned by psychiatry. Apparently "medical knowledge" is just as culture-bound today as it was in Ancient Rome.
I’m with you!!
Friends who live near Compton, CA (not a good area) have an alarm system, which they activate each time they come home. Unlike me, they do not like firearms. However, when their house was broken into, the assailants did take off right away. I think their action had more to do with the neighbors coming out after the alarm went off than it did with the security system alone.
Nosey neighbors, particularly if they’re armed like me, can be as much a deterent as some security systems. 22 years ago, when I lived in a large condo building, I surprised some drunk asshat knocking on a gal’s door at 4 AM with my Ithaca M87 12 Gauage pump. The funny thing was he actually peed in his pants. I called another tenant, a Teamster, who volunteered to take care of the problem. We never saw the ass in the building again.
I look at ours as only part of the layered defense we have. It gives a warning, not security. That tells us that someone has breached the home. The security company can call the sheriff to come clean up the mess from the 12 ga. and the pistols.
Chaos sells. The news business thrives in times of chaos.
All of the CSI shows and serial killer infotainment on cable are not “news”.
It is the media. The profile documentaries aren’t even “to catch a theif”. It is to marvel at the techniques of a perverted individual.
Dubois Family Watched Gardner After Girl's Disappearance
Unfortunately, Escondido is having a budget crisis, and their police force is busy setting up road blocks and ticket traps to solve their budget crisis.
Seriously.
We’ll run out of rapists and molesters to kill long before they run out of victims.
They do anyway so why not execute them.
No, you’re assigning rational thinking to these monsters.
Whether or not they kill them has nothing to do with the fear of being caught.
I’m with you. One solution, one bullet. This sh@% makes me sick to my stomach. This particular incident happened in the community where my cousin lives. She has two little girls.
Thinking that public execution of molesters and rapists may give the little cowards pause before carrying out their sick and twisted acts. Simply my opinion of course.
Check this case out from here in Hampton Roads, VA area:
Sixteen year old girl raped and killed by a classmate and “friend.” A quote from the article (link below):
“Then, on April 10, 2008, after she came home from school, she was sexually assaulted and stabbed more than 40 times.”
The #@%&$le who did this to her pleaded guilty and got just 42years.
Hang him. In front of the courthouse. During the evening news. And broadcast it. Then dump his body in the woods for the buzzards.
Holy cow, thats what is needed on Saturday night. A conservative spoof show similar to SNL, but hammer the left in a satirical, but real way. Man, you could get a lot of mileage, and skits, on their platforms.
Plus it would provide a venue for conservatives who can’t get work in Hellywood because of the liberal bias.
“We need to start arming our daughters when they reach 18, teach them to shoot and learn firearm safety. Kill the damn bastards in self-defense.”
18 would have been too late for this girl. Age 12 is a better age.
Rehab works. As long as God is doing the rehabbing in the afterlife.
I used 18 because of the legal requirements for carry permits. I think some of the permissive parents need to just quit letting their kids do anything and everything so those of use who like to be a bit more protective aren’t crucified with the “everybody else gets to” crap. I’m not strict, just protective, but try explaining that to a teenager. Sad that I can’t let my kids ride their bikes around the block or jog around the block. I use to wouldn’t even let them play in the yard UNLESS I was out there. How sad is that in this crazy mad world?
