Okay then. I will call you a dumb Republican, and I cite your recurring difficulty with basic reading comprehension as my primary piece of evidence. Curiously enough, that evidence also has nothing to do with my original point about the general lack of intelligence exhibited by most voters. It will suffice nonetheless. Have a nice day, math-boy.

Perry is NOT what he seems. He's an opportunist politician who has made an entire career shifting wherever the wind blows. Right now it's blowing right so he's hanging out with Tea Partiers. But in the past its blown other ways.My thoughts exactly. He is a RINO.

...and yet there are dozens of people here who think he's some great conservative hero, perhaps even our next presidential candidate. Perry's already tried that one too, by the way. He tried to get himself the VP nod by endorsing that great conservative icon Rudy Giuliani. It's truly amazing to see how quickly people have forgotten that, and all because Perry did a Monica on the Tea Party movement.
I said it earlier and I'll say it again. Most voters are extremely dumb. The only difference between us and the Democrats is that ours are just a little less dumb.

So, the question I shouldve asked was whos going to be the next TX senator?KBH will be senator unless and until she decides to step down.
To: luckystarmom
I suppose you would be happy with KBH or White as Gov?
To: Steelfish
Medina is now free to become a “full-fledged” 9/11 Truther.

That “racist” dog don’t hunt. I hope they keep calling people names. A lot of people are starting to realize it is racists that call other people racist. ;0)

Double major BA and two postgrad professional degrees. So yeah, Ive earned the right to say most voters - i.e. most of the general public - are dumb.Ah, nothing like a little self righteous posturing from one of my betters to start my day.
Oh, you're done ... then piss off.

If only we could all be as awesome as you..
How do you “earn” the right to look down on people?
Ive met more likable (and probably wiser) HS dropouts.
Welcome back Gov Rick Perry.

So glad she lost. Do not like her or her policies- albeit energy. I give her credit on that. But that’s all.

I agree, eggman, with conimbricenses, that at least 50% of the general public are less than average. I'm not convinced, however, that conimbricenses knows on which side of that median line he falls...
Statistician's Blues
Todd Snider
They say 3 percent of the people use 5 to 6 percent of their brain
97 percent use 3 percent and the rest goes down the drain
I'll never know which one I am but I'll bet you my last dime
99 percent think we're 3 percent 100 percent of the time
64 percent of all the world's statistics are made up right there on the spot
82.4 percent of people believe 'em whether they're accurate statistics or not
I don't know what you believe but I do know there's no doubt
I need another double shot of something 90 proof
I got too much to think about
Too much to think about
Too much to figure out
Stuck between hope and doubt
It's too much to think about
They say 92 percent of everything you learned in school was just bullshit you'll never need
84 percent of everything you got you bought to satisfy your greed
Because 90 percent of the world's population links possessions to success
Even though 80 percent of the wealthiest 1 percent of the population Drinks to an alarming excess
More money, more stress
It's too much to think about
Too much to figure out
Stuck between hope and doubt
It's too much to think about
Pick it now
84 percent of all statisticians truly hate their jobs
They say the average bank robber lives within say about 20 miles of the bank that he robs
There's this little bank not far from here I've been watching now for a while
Lately all I can think about's how bad I wanna go out in style
And it's too much to think about
Too much to figure out
Stuck between hope and doubt
It's too much to think about
That's right
It's too much to think about
Amen
It's too much to think about

“Today we call him Governor Rick Perry. Tomorrow, we may very well call him President Rick Perry. Food for thought.”
Food for puking and heaving for days.
He was certainly better than KBH, but he is no prize.
Someone here called him “Romney in Sh!tkickers” and that’s a fair statement.

Never said I was “awesome” - only that the majority of the electorate is dumb. As with the previous poster, please note that I never specifically said *you* were dumb - just the majority of the electorate. Of course I also reserve the right to amend that assessment. Thank you for providing grounds to do so.
To: tx_eggman
Self righteous posturing? No. Math-boy made a blusterous post demanding my professional qualifications and I simply obliged. Doing so has little effect upon my original point about the majority of the electorate being dumb. Note that I did not specifically include *you* or anyone else in that observation, though several have since provided ample reason why they should have been.
To: TV Dinners
Every Democrat campaigns as a conservative — then laughs all the way to socialist party headquarters after being elected. For them, elecions all about deceiving the electorate. If they had to campaign on their beliefs, not a single one would be elected.

The whole “Truther” thing is a waste of time and energy. It’s like one of those fireworks that misfires, goes sidways, gets stuck in the weeds, ad sits there until it burns out.
