My jeans have been Levi's shrink-to-fit 501s since I was 15, the same kind my brothers all wore. They're "dark wash" when they're new and "stone wash" when they're old, and go from dark to pale blue over the course of two or three years or however long they last (their ultimate destiny is cut-off shorts because God intended for the knees to wear through on all 501s). And GOP Gal, I still get the occasional admiring double-takes from the gentlemen, though I've got several years on Palin's youthful 46!! :^) Age is irrelevant; what counts are the right attitude and figure, and Palin's got both,

I actually had a lady ask me where I got the cool stone-washed jeans I was wearing (a pair of 501s probably about three years old, nice and faded blue with holes wearing in the knees and along one thigh) and said she'd pay as much as $250 for them if they were in her size (she was *ahem* a few sizes bigger than me!). The funny part was when I told her they got that way just by me wearing them and washing them over the years ... I could tell she didn't believe me. I guess she thought I was holding out on her with regard to the cool pre-washed or stone-washed denim source!

Just waded through some of the syrup on this thread to find your post from last night, and hope you don't mind that I linked it on an Illegal Immigration thread awhile ago. It's a practical idea and gets right to the point! We've had enough of these pols hedging their bets, holding their cards close to the chest and hoping we'll believe their half-answers to extremely important issues. Call them on this one and see what they say, get the attention of the whole country, and maybe we'll get some action.

Too lmany people think it's hopeless, we could never send them all back, never catch them all, etc--BUT THEY WOULD SELF-DEPORT IF THEY WERE CUT OFF OF ALL GOVT ASSISTANCE!

Letterman/Romney have been discussing the recovery for car manufacturers, the cause of the banking system collapse and how to fix it, and the problem of decades of overspending, and the problems with our medical system.

And I'll bet every "fix" Romney promoted involved more, bigger government.
