California is an unsalvageable mess.
Take a bite out of crime.
Hey! That’s not cho cheese!
California is probably too far gone, about the same as the UK it seems.
Good thing he didn’t stuff a moose down his pants.
Ah......The Power of Cheese....
Boy if I got arrested every time I left a store with cheese in my pants. bada bing bang
He had 13 prior convictions and had spent 22 of the past 27 years behind bars...
On Jan. 6, jurors convicted Ferguson of two counts of petty theft for snatching a woman's wallet from the counter of a 7-Eleven store and for stuffing a bag of Tillamook shredded cheese worth $3.99 into his pants at Woodland's Nugget Market.
The judge gave Ferguson 825 days of credit for his time in jail awaiting trial and said Ferguson would be required to serve half his sentence in prison. He will be eligible for parole in less than three years.
Eight years, just for cheese? I'd say, "Typical reporting!"
if you read the full article you will see that this guy has been a habitual criminal and multi-time loser his whole life. I think a judge just took this opportunity to get him off the streets for as long as possible.
“three strikes”
Obviously didn't steal it from this Cheese Shop.
We from the Golden State don't mind illegal aliens, we are okay with failing schools, we hate successful businesses and we just love environmental regulations; however...
We do not tolerate cheese napping!
.
Not according to the article.
How is it that THIS guy gets the “3 strikes”, and the guy who supposedly kidnapped that 17 yr old in San Diego (who was extremely dangerous) didn’t get the 3 strikes??? He had more charges against HIM. What’s going on??
It’s hard to figure out what to be most appalled and disgusted about. There are too many choices.
1) Clearly mentally ill offender.
2) Pants cheese?
3) 92 months for stealing pants cheese?
4) Assault with intent to soda.
5) Can get out in 3 years and change.
6) Has already served 825 days (2 years, 3 months, 5 days) *awaiting* trial.
7) Freaking California.
8) Insanely long list of prior offenses.
I’m thinking we need a desert island for this guy, along with a great big garden full of ripe pumpkins, so he can live happily ever after.
