>> 2 votes for slick rick in this household later today.
The Tick house will add 2 more for the Hair. Yet another “lesser of the evils” election. :-(
>> What are the odds that Perry can win outright tonight?
I’d say they’re pretty good. Depends on the magnitude of crossovers, IMHO.
well they can’t all be Reagan, right?
>> what if KBH comes in 3rd?? lol
F You See Kay... tell her she’s a LOSER. LOL back atcha!
bttt
>> well they cant all be Reagan, right?
Sadly, no.
Don’t know about your neck o’ the woods, but here in Central Texas they’re all TALKING like they’re Ronald Reagan. Especially those running for state office.
Sure hope and pray the winners ACT a little bit like him.
Here ou go folks..Why would we want to change this for someone else Our state needs to stay as it is....I say vote Rick Perry...I voted by mail and am waiting to see what democrat Rick Perry will run against and beat..

I believe TX law requires that he face the voters for the 2-year window this November.
It all depends upon timing as to when the special election to fill the remainder of the term would occur. Nov. 2 would be the most likely next ‘uniform election date’ assuming KBH would resign in the not to distant future. There is a ‘uniform election’ date on May 8 but that may not leave time for timeline dates as specified by Code. However the gov. does have the option to declare an emergency ‘special special election’ to fill the seat. I guess the real catalyst is the resignation date if and when it occurs.
One interesting thing about a special election if it occurs is that it will be a ‘jungle’ type election in that all candidates will run on the same ballot and the top two vote getters have a runoff if no one gets a majority the first time. No primaries invovled so if no majority winner the first time then it could be a dem/dem - rep/rep - or a dem/rep faceoff.
Great video.
Best two outcomes tonight:
1. Perry wins outright - no runoff
2. KBH comes in third place
Either or both will help KILL Obamacare.
Anyone know what time the polls close?
The jungle special election is unique, and helped KBH get elected to her Senate seat in 1993, after Clinton appointed Senator Bentsen to his Cabinet.
Ann Richards appointed Bob Krueger to be the interim senator, and a ton of people ran against him in the special election. Reps. Joe Barton and Jack Fields split the conservative vote. KBH and Bob Krueger got into the runoff, where Kay creamed him. It could be argued that KBH could not have gotten out of a standard Republican primary and runoff.
Once she became an incumbent Senator, no Republican of any stature opposed her.
Polls are open from 7 AM - 7 PM.
thx
Early vote from two in this house.
ATTENTION TEXANS
REMINDER
Are we so desperate to clean house of 'career politicians' that we jump on the bandwagon of Debra MEDINA, an unknown ex-nurse with zero experience, owner of a mom and pop small business in backwater Wharton, Tx, with questionable judgement and loyalties and who worked on the RON PAUL presidential campaign???
Perry leans too far to the left at times for the taste of most of us, but consider this:
Texas is in better shape than almost any other state in the union since it's been under Perry's governorship since 2000!
If we're going to kick him out, we'd better be D*MN sure we know just what we're replacing him with!
Just WHO would we replace Perry with? Ron Paul/truther nutter Medina?
Trecherous Washington RINO Hutchison?*
MUSLIM FAROUK SHAMI?
Or maybe Lib Bill White?
Nominate Medina and we'll surely turn over Texas to White and the 'rats. She CANNOT beat White.
Perhaps in the future a more Conservative candidate will emerge for Texas, but this time around WE HAVE NO CHOICE.
For God's sake, has anybody really looked into her platform- her background? Has this woman even been vetted?
She wants legalized drugs.
She backs gay marriage.
.
She has not spoken to her elderly parents for YEARS. They had to find out she was runing for governor of Texas by reading the newspaper!

What does this say about this woman's character?
And rumors are begin to surface about husband Noe's past associations.
Take a look at some of the statements she has made:
"I don't have all of the evidence there, Glenn. I think some very good questions have been raised. In that regard there's some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there." (When Glen Beck asked her about the 9/11 conspiracy theory)
At 3:30 on this video, Medina says, 'why were there no police killed on 9 11?' (???)
http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/politics&id=7274692
"Its a shame isnt it, that Republicans continue to ignore Hispanics especially here in Texas?
Oh really now, Ms MEDINA. What else do you want for the Latinos- or should't we ask?
"Who is going to think more about Latino families? Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or me, who has a Latino family?
Oh, rest assured, Ms MEDINA, we know you'll be thinking more about the Latinos.
"Being married, however, to someone with a Mexican American heritage, I certainly embrace the culture.
"I believe we too often get into race when its immaterial. (Obummer, is that you?)
I don't believe for one minute Medina's propaganda about wanting to strengthen the border!
La Raza probably has her in their back pocket!
This idea that Beck (or anybody else) sabotaged Medina is absurd. If you cant answer did the govt have anything to do with the 9/11 attacks? you're not be fit to run for dogcatcher.
Glenn Beck has once again helped the tea-party stay in the Republican mainstreamby by weeding out dangerous fringe thinkers like Medina.
Medina is NOT representative of the Tea Party movement. She USED them- latched herself on to them. Shes a hard core Libertarian who has realized that the Libertarian Party will never win anything and that the only possible way to get herself into office is to do what Ron Paul did and wrap herself in the Republican cloak in hopes that it will fool enough of the voters enough of the time.
Whatever you may think of Glenn Beck; thank God he outed her in time to avert a tragedy in Texas.
Retrieve your sombrero from the ring and go home Senora Medina. You're Texas toast. . .
* REMEMBER THIS, TEXANS:
Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress
One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchisons amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.

Bump for the Fall of Kay with a Perry WIN!
