That sounds like a poor business decision, but I suppose it depends on how much they paid for the two different shows.

Well, this is not the choice of Entercom which owns WRKO.
Clear Channel wants an all talk station on their AM 1200 and they want it stocked with their own shows from their Premiere
divisions.

Beck and Hannity are currently not on in Boston. They will be on the new station...and they already are running Coast to
Coast on AM 1200.

Entercom would have loved to keep Rush but not their decision I guess. The new station will be known as Rush Radio 1200
and the rushradio1200.com domain name is already registered
(was pointing to yahoo the other day)

Nah, best decision they can make if the details above are correct. If Clear Channel is dead set on moving Rush’s program to their own station then it at least gives this station a few weeks to try and break in a new program before Rush dominates the timeslot later. Still they are screwed. Making the best of a bad situation. The new guy won’t touch Rush’s ratings when people find him.

“That sounds like a poor business decision”

I believe it is more of a romney for president decision and romney can well afford it.

That sounds like a poor business decision,

I think so too.....

I remember when Rush was dumped by a radio station here in Detroit that changed to sports talk format. A number of people here were saying that that was the end of the road for him.......LOL!

Not long after he was picked up by WJR, the biggest AM station in S.E. Michigan........and he's still going strong.
