A Spanish judge has charged 13 members of the Basque separatist group ETA and the Colombian rebel group FARC over an alleged plot to assassinate Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, judicial sources said on Monday.
Judge Eloy Velasco said he believes FARC asked ETA's help with a plot to kill a number of Colombian officials in Spain, including Uribe.
Columbia's Uribe.
FARC and ETA plot assassinations.
Not surprising. ETA and its Marxist FARC buddies are hand in glove. Don’t be surprised if Hugo Chavez turns up in the mix, too.
Uribe seems too pro-Western for Spain to lavish such attention on. They don’t want to unburnish their reputation for cowardice of late, do they?
If anything, they don’t want it to happen in Spain.
They just can’t bring themselves to call the murderous butchers of ETA a terrorist group.
The Spanish judge says the Venezuelan government helped in the assasination plot.
Definite Hugo Chavez MO.
