HAPPY ANNIVERSARY FREE REPUBLIC TEA PARTY!
One year ago, Free Republic sponsored a Tea Party in Sacramento, California
It was all inspired by Rick Santelli, an economist on a financial oriented Cable channel CNBC.
This is one of Free Republic's First Posts Of Rick Santelli's "rant" on CNBC back on February 19th.
Many posts followed about his great proclamation which Went Viral with over a million views in a short time.
You can see many post about it Here, most of them on the second page
The founder of Free Republic was right on it with these threads:
Free Republic poster GVnana was interested from the very beginning, and started the ball rolling to have a Tea Party at the capitol in Sacramento, California with this thread:
TAKE A LOOK AROUND THE COUNTRY AND SEE WHERE IT HAS GONE FROM THESE HUMBLE BEGINNINGS!
Tea Party -- Sacramento, California
Many other Free Republic groups around the country also had Tea Parties on February 27th of last year and there have been literally hundreds of them since.
Little did he know that he started something a lot sooner than that!
More information down this thread!
It’s been a year!

Very cool, I remember that one!
As soon as I saw Santellis rant, I knew a chord had been struck.
It was only a month after Obamas inauguration and conservatives were down-in-the-dumps. But I didnt believe for a moment they would surrender their country lying down.
Everytime I saw that video people were leaving comments that a tea party event should happen.
The first true organized event I recall came about through the Dont Go Movement. Im not sure how I came upon that group since I dont Tweet, but within days of the Santelli rant, they had organized a Chicago Tea Party. In fact, during the planning stages of the national February 27 parties, these events were referred to as Chicago Tea Parties.
From my experience with the 2000 election vote recount protests in Sacramento, I KNEW we Freepers had a major role to play in all this. It was just perfectly natural to put out the call on FreeRepublic and, of course, FReepers led the charge that day!
Pretty cool videos. In the first one you can hear Mark Williams acknowledging FreeRepublic.
And later he had a bullhorn, and could be heard much better
The honking was pretty loud lol
Tea Parties weren't on his radar at that time, I emailed him and invited him to come. He emailed me back and said yea he would be there. That was awesome!
Awesome!! WE will not be defeated!!
Here's a another Good Video
It's got Donald from MAF at about 54 seconds (you will recognize him as the guy that ran the TPX booth at the rallies you attended) and Mark Williams at a little over a minute.
I see the commie infestation that inhabits YT has already arrived.
It still works for us though
Most positive conservative videos slip through, although sometimes they nix them
Thanks Ladycalif! The I can't Believe I was in Laguna Beach Tea Party (pics)
Take a look at Post #5
Thank you for the mention and link...and here’s a
BTTT
Indeed, I've been known to beat up on a few commies overthere.
Is is wrong to have fun making and watching their heads explode?
:^)
LOL, yea there are a bunch of them that comment from deep within their need for meds.
On the videos that I post, I get notifications when anyone posts to them.
I've had to delete hundreds of them when they can't debate and just call names!
Vile, and as coarse as you can get.
They really hate Coulter, it's amazing how they exhibit what I call Coulter Emasculation Syndrome.
LOL!!!
