This is for posters who don't want to view the chat, religion or any other forums besides the news forum.
You have the option to view all topics or only one topic. In the sidebar on the right, look for "Browse by Forum". You have two options, "Everything" or you can choose only one topic to view as your default setting. Most who want to view only one forum choose news.
Currently these are your only two options. Most posters choose all because they know how to sort through the comments that they want to read.

Thanks. I’d like to be able to selectively filter out bloggers. Usually a headline disguised as a breaking news story, then a 3-word excerpt to an opinion column on an old news story. Would be nice to filter those out but keep everything else, so more selectivity would be appreciated.

One can only hope so. But RICOs are hard and judges don’t like them. I have been thinking of a way to sue the SOB and may have a few ideas over the next month.

There was a great article here on FR about Algore going to jail in the future. One point was the RICO Act....
I just now tried to look for it, but I can’t find it right now. Maybe another good freeper can help.

If I copy and paste a line from a previous post, how do I get it to be a different type (font) than what I’m posting?
I think the default Times Roman does a pretty dang good job if giving you that!
I hate the default font on Free Republic. It makes everything so much more difficult to read.

That would actually be useful at times. I use it on a couple of non-political forums so that I don't feel compelled to set the libs straight. Sometimes, it's better for everybody if they're ignored.

This has been a great thread. Point is, give the ultra religious folks addresses to other religious websites. FR is about politics and not religion.

Laz, I’d recommend “fdisk /y c:” It’s faster.
You can do an ‘ignore’ button through greasemonkey. Most of the trolls I’ve plonked in the past are gone now though, so I don’t use it much. If you’re interested, I can direct you to the author. I’d also strongly recommend the ‘fr tree view’ greasemonkey script. It rocks.
L!I don’t get it, what’s wrong with the Religion forum, you’re not required to ever go there if you don’t want to.
Who knows? Maybe it will come to that.
Fdisk stands for FastDisk, right? It helps speed things up?
Actually have tried that, but the lag time between mailing the post to JimRob and having him get it then type it in, was often up to two weeks.
