The Obama administration will seek to reinstate the assault weapons ban that expired in 2004 during the Bush administration, Attorney General Eric Holder said today.
"As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons," Holder told reporters.

Obama realizing that it’s not good for citizens to have assault rifles when you are trying to enslave them.

Respectfully; Don’t get your hopes up. Democrats are now actively buying votes with “stimulus” money.
There’s no telling how many greased palms will slip onto the Democrat lever in November. (Not to mention the activities of ACORN, its susidiaries, and all those czars and their associates.)

Learn to load your own. I churn out match grade .223 that would cost $1 per round retail for about .30 per round. 25 cents for the bullet, 4 cents for the primer, and a penny for the powder.
Handgun ammo is even cheaper.
It’s also fun (well, I enjoy it) and I like knowing that I don’t have to depend on the retail supply chain. I just keep plenty of the components on hand.
