FORT WORTH, Texas | Former President George W. Bush turned to his faith amid the tough times during his eight years in office, he said Saturday at a religious school's banquet.

W always loved his fellow politicians. It's the American people he didn't like.
Yep, that aggravated me so much when he was in office too... I can sorta understand it now, his belief of the rightful place of x-presidents and all... but its one thing to turn the other cheek when derided by a personal foe, and another altogether, to be seen turning the other cheek when defending a political position, one which encompasses millions of other souls. It is for them you take a stand, and speak up, and defend, not just yourself.
Chaney needs a thought bubble... Bull$ht...
Besides, his re-appearance on the public stage at this point would give the 'rats a perfect excuse to distract the public's attention and direct it toward Bush and his policies once more. He would become the issue, not Obama, which is exactly the opposite of what this country needs.
Republican socialists like Bush don't really have it in them to stick a knife in the guts of their brothers across the aisle.
I can’t believe he won’t stand up. I have no respect for him at all.

Bush doesn’t need to attack obama directly; why bother, the American public knows now barry’s an idiot. Be the better man and attack obama and his ilk’s stupid socialist ideas buy supporting the opposite. Bush should come out to support the American people’s desire to maintain their political, personal and economic rights via strict observation of the US Constitution. He doesn’t need to do more than that. Yes, Bush was a disappointment in many areas, but no one could argue he is equal to obama. No way.
I think you're being too hard on old Dubya. After watching the 'rats stab his father in the back on the tax deal, and after their attempt to overturn his election, he surely wouldn't be stupid enough to try to play ball with them in good faith. After all it's not like he let Ted Kennedy write his education bill for him.
Wow, such ugliness against our brave ex President. The man who liberated millions of Iraqi and Afghanistan people.
He protected this country with his heart, soul and goodness for 8 long years.
I love the man. With all his faults. He did mostly good. That’s good enough for me.
That’s just great - to be a Christian and not talk bad about anybody. Well, the Bible also tells us to fight evil. We are stuck with Obama now because these RINOs refuse to “talk bad” about him. Are you supposed to sit back and let your country go to hell?
There is a desperate dearth in this country of leaders with the spine to call out evil to it’s face.
A US Navy Vet, huh? So was Jimmy Carter! So was Ross Perot who sold out his country on the promise of his company, Perot Systems, administering Hillarycare. So was Jack Murtha.
Being a veteran gives one no special insight nor patriotism.
The media destroyed GWB and the Republicans in order to elect a Communist president and they did elect Obama, period.
Perhaps President Bush has something that is lacking on the DEM side: Class
Perhaps he also belive the old adage: Give [your enemy] enough rope and eventually he’ll hang himself.
I’m glad President Bush isn’t going to do a “Carter” and run around spouting off. It’s not like it would do any good anyway, the media worships the buffoon Carter, but President Bush would only get more of the same from the media that he got while in office.

Brave? My kid calls in air strikes in Afghanistan. My son, and other brave sons protect this country. Not him.
Agreed. And i am very proud to have served under this Commander in Chief vs. the current Chicken in Chief. I would have liked GW to layout the evidence of WMDs in Iraq, that we saw ample evidence of, but were never adequately publicized. I agree also that Cheney can more than take care of GW’s light work known as Bambi the Commie. After 8 years of war and keeping this country safe, i say GW earned his rest and recuperation and the rest of the ungrateful bastards and naysayers can go to HELL!!
He did an incredible amount of good.
You would think by now George W. would be tired of being treated as a door mat. Grow a pair, Mr. President, and expose Obama for the fraud he really is.
Just lets make sure no more Bushes get to the white house and continue putting pressure on the RINOS to either step aside, join the other party or get with it!
