FORT WORTH, Texas | Former President George W. Bush turned to his faith amid the tough times during his eight years in office, he said Saturday at a religious school's banquet.

>> Bush says he won’t criticize Obama
Good.
No problem, we’ll handle that for him, and Dick Cheney is a willing partner. This, ultimately, has always been the Bush’s downfall..both W and dad. They think it is above their dignity to engage.
And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.
Barry Goldwater
Most former POTUS keep their trap shut.
Only Demoncrats criticize.
I appreciate his character.
IMHO, the 'body of work' that was the Presidency of George W. Bush (43) had way more pluses than minuses.
In addition to awesome SCOTUS appointments, remind me again, who picked Dick Cheney as his VP? This is a very good man!
.
Bush failed to secure the U.S/Mexican border.
Bush iied to the American people about the danger of Islam.
.
Remember TARP? You’re right.
I said President! I realize former VP Cheney has done it am I am glad.
However, in most peoples minds the former President is still the standard bearer and titular head of the Party, not the VP.
There are a couple like former VP Cheney that ‘take no prisoners’, however it doesn’t pack the same wallop as it would if it was the former President.
The Dems do this all the time, all former Dem presidents speak out, just as they did previously .... always pointing the finger and calling manes. They take the ‘bully pulpit’ and never let it go.
Pubbies should learn to do the same.
Getting into a pissing contest with Obama wouldn’t make either Dubya or Obama look any better.
Brian Mulroney made the same mistake as PM of Canada and took it on the chin for it big time (no pun intended). I'm confident that historians will far more positive regarding President Bush and my former PM than their contemporaries.

Exactly, we are going to have to Bark More and Wag Less...despite the bumper sticker I have that says to Wag More and Bark Less...which is good around the house but not off the property line!
Maybe, but he is standing up for what he believes in.
Besides, they are both progressives, right?
Everything is Bushs’ fault...now my life is complete because I fit in.
GW gave us 2 great appointments to the Supreme Court, he brought integrity back to the WH. He is one of my hero’s
He did many good things”
He did a few things that a conservative would do. He is a friggen coward not to stand up right now. Our brave sons are on a battlefield that he sent them to. America is being dismantled by Marxism. Bush wants to remain silent so he is not prosecuted by the left. Our boys fearlessly risk their lives, and Bush chooses to be a gentleman coward. I have no respect for him anymore if he can’t speak out.
Bush frankly wimped out throughout his 8 years in the White House. His refusal to stand up to the left and CALL them the liars they are helped give congress to the dems. But he does have some class. That’s why he won’t criticize Hussein.
That’s ok. We really don’t need him.
Amen. We are in crisis mode and need to have folks like him realize this versus live in Big “D” with all the other old money Texans. (Good people, but don’t take their Neiman’s away.)
Obama doesn’t make a patch on George Bush’s butt. President Bush may have not been perfect as President, but he did and does have class and dignity. The rest of the mobsters in Washington don’t even come close.
What has really made an impression on me about President Bush was his quiet visit to Ft. Hood. No fanfare, no television cameras...just a low-key visit by an ordinary citizen to comfort and support the troops. That, my FRiends, is class.
