Barr would have probably lost to Kahn in 2002. Barr's 3rd party Presidential run showed he was an attention seeker.

Boortz is a social liberal yet he likes Huckabee because of his support for the Fair tax. Also last year, Boortz dismissed the notion of Tea Party rallies until they grew lives of their own. Now Boortz is jumping on the bandwagon trying to make the Tea Parties into Fair tax rallies. Boortz is obsessed with the Fair Tax.

Possibly. At the time I figured Barr would have had better chance as the incumbent but you never know. Gingery was free of Barr's negatives.

If Kahn had won he could conceivably still in office today. The district was made more Republican in mid decade redistricting but that wasn't enough to beat Jim Marshall whom I hope will finally be dispatched this fall.

Boortz is obsessed with the Fair Tax.

Indeed he is. I see problems with the 'fair tax'. Personally I'd rather have a flat income tax.

That was a kick in the pills when he replaced with rat Zell Miller. Miller moved to the right the longer he served but he still enabled Tom Daschle for 2 years.

Smoltz is out.

Ralph Reed is thinking about jumping in.

Herman Cain is out, too (not that he was ever in).

Ralph Reed, huh? Interesting.

Reed has too much baggage, one reason we opposed him running against Casey Cagle in ‘06 for Lt Governor.

Veteran state Senator Don Balfour is in. However, in a safe district, I don’t know if he’s the right guy for the job. To be honest, I don’t know anything about any of the potenntial contenders.

I’ve been hearing a lot lately about how Mexican nationals are taking over Georgia.

Since the construction biz cratered, they've fled like rats from a sinking ship.

Well, except for the drug-dealing criminal ones.

Same thing is going on here. Phoenix was booming with construction. Now that construction jobs are hard to find, the illegals are leaving the state. Between Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s dedication to enforcing our laws and the Department of Economic Security making it harder for illegals to steal benefits, Arizona just isn’t an illegal alien friendly state anymore.

That’s a relief. He has too much baggage.
