"From our human perspective with our relatively short and incomplete memories and better and better communications around the world, we hear about more earthquakes and it seems like they are more frequent," Arrowsmith said. "But this is probably not any indication of a global change in earthquake rate of significance." Funny, they don't apply this logic to 'global warming.'

Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Should nature ever get “out of control”, no one’s going to be left to sit around and chit-chat about it.
To: americanophile
See, my first thought was, “Hey, Al Gore! Quit moving around so much, yer causing earthquakes!!!”
Like he listens to me...

Plate tectonics rules the surface of the earth, it’s eveidence of a tortured surface and continental drift is visable all around us.
We float on the froth of our planet.
But people love to freak out and think it means something ominous. It means build stuff better generally.

Is this a lead in to the global warming thingie?

What is Algore and his band of warmers going to do about this!? Don’t they have a plan to stop these earthquakes? How about banning body slams by the WWF! Something must be done or, WE’RE ALL DOOMED!

If man could control nature it would have been destroyed long ago.
To: Howie66
Mankind never was in control of nature.
We are just along for the ride, and most of the time we are just barely hanging on for dear life.
Which has made us one of the most adaptable creatures on the face of this planet. Nothing like a little dread and adrenalin to sharpen the senses.

Thanks, ClearCase_guy, for stating the Biblical reference to Matthews 24:7.
