To: Beaten Valve
Like John Lowenstein of the Baltimore Orioles. He was once questioned by a reporter (in Texas I believe) about catching the ball one-handed all the time. The reporter asked him, "Who was the first major league player to make one-handed catches?" Without batting an eye, Lo said, "That would have to be Pete Gray." So this reporter goes off and writes a story about how Pete Gray was the first player to make one-handed catches on a routine basis.

Awesome - loved LoLo. He also said they should move the bases farther apart to eliminate the close plays.
