>>Punished, yes. Killed, seldom.<<

It was done often enough for the symbol to last. A chronically uppity slave eventually worked better as an example than the trouble of constantly fighting him.

My point remains that the noose is seen as a symbolic threat in the black community and with at least some good reason. Why people want to close their eyes to this is beyond me.

Why people should care that they see it as a symbolic threat is beyond me ...

Even though a number of blacks were lynched, it’s a virtual certainty that those lynchings were carried out by liberal Democrats. Since modern blacks vote 90-110% for liberal Democrats, I reckon they have gotten past this whole African slavery thingy.

So rather than an emotional threat, this is just a money-making publicity stunt.

I am not closing my eyes to your leftist dogma. Rather I am plainly expressing my disgust that you are propogating it.

MAYBE BECAUSE IT IS A CONVENIENT “SYMBOLIC THREAT” FOR THEM TO THROW IN AMERICAN’S FACE TIME AND AGAIN SO PEOPLE LIKE YOU SUCK UP TO THEM.

Bullsheit. It's a threat against the 'white community'. That's how it's always used, and you fell for it AGAIN!

How stupid are you?

According to research by Tuskegee University, between 1992 and 1965 a total of 3,445 blacks were lynched (along with 1297 whites).

The Crips kill more blacks EVERY YEAR than lynching ever did.
