Being a woman, I must say it's about time that someone wrote an article about the truth of what we ladies find attractive in men.

For the last decade, American men have been inundated with the idea that women prefer men who are in touch with their feminine side, men who are not afraid to spend a little extra time in front of the mirror, and maybe even wear a little make up to highlight the features of their face. We are told that men like John Kerry and Barack Obama are what women really want. Men who are not only unashamed of their femininity, but men who will even go so far as to display such faith in their feminism in public as Obama has time and time again.

For longer than the past decade, we men have been told a lot of crap.

I'm not sure about the people who believed it, but neither I nor most of the guys I know did anything but laugh at the 'Culture Club' rejects or roll our eyeballs and utter phrases which are not appropriate on this website.

Not totally true. I lived in New York and Washington DC for a while, so met different types of women.

Women with a leftist-bent do prefer metro-sexuals. Maybe such guys are more easily manipulated/dominated?

What is most upsetting is having to deal with these weanies in every day life. Maybe not always the “classic” metrosexual, but men who have been conditioned not to step up to the plate and be men.

Women want to get back to the good old days when men treated women like ladies. So feel free to open door and pull back the chair for your lady gentleman, because that is what they truly want.

I can recall times where I got looked at like a wierdo for offering to walk a date to her car when it was dark/icy, and got the same look for opening a door once too.

Men don’t need women defining us or telling us who we should be.

A great many of us went past that nonsense when we separated from our mothers as children or young men.

The rest, still worrying what their mothers and mother substitutes thought of them long into adulthood, fell for this women’s lib nonsense, ignoring the obvious biologic imperatives staring them in the face. Many still haven’t got it.

I have long hair (usually in a ponytail), but I don’t use any product other than shampoo. I have callouses on my left hand, and scars on the right (the former because I play guitar, the latter because I work on my own cars). Hopefully, this makes me attractive. :)
