"I don't want to be a panel of formers instructing the currents on what to do. I'm trying to regain a sense of anonymity. I didn't like it when a certain former president and it wasn't 41 or 42 made my life miserable.
Thank you, and God love ya, Pres. Bush .. God bless and protect them both!!

VIDEO from yesterday

GWB talked about his own record, saying of his signature education reform: No Child Left Behind was the most advanced civil rights legislation since the Voting Rights Act.
Bush has deceived a lot of conservatives, unfortunately.

Let’s review: “I had to abandon Free Market principles in order to save the Free Market system.”
How’s that working out for everybody?

Maintaining religious piety is harder when the pressure is off than when it is on.... Translation??
When pressure is on us and life is difficult, it is normal to ask for God's guidance more often; to rely on His strength and not our own.
When life is easier (the pressure is off), then it is easier to rely on ourselves, and lose faith.

Conservatives who were paying attention knew that President Bush's position on education wasn't particularly conservative, other than the accountability in education, and his desire for vouchers (which unfortunately, got dropped from the bill).
If he "deceived" conservatives, then it was because they were ignorant, not because he actually deceived anyone.

I always said that Bush’s biggest fault was his inability or to defend himself. He thought it was above the office of the presidency. Maybe he is a little right, but after years of attacks, it wore him and the GOP down.

I heard the other day that Carter took issue with people saying Obama is Carter v2.0.
So he’s insulted because he wasn’t near as bad?? I got a real kick out of Carter backing into saying the O is terrible.
