House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Friday said that she is running the most ethical Congress in history.

Asked at a press conference whether or not her Congress is the most ethical in light of new findings that Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) broke House rules, Pelosi responded "We are."

But Pelosi dodged on whether or not she would officially discipline Rangel, who helms the powerful Ways and Means Committee.

After Democrats reclaimed the majority in the House of Representatives in 2006, Pelosi, who at the time was poised to become speaker, said "the Democrats intend to lead the most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history."

I don’t see what’s ethical in running up a $1,000-per-week bar tab on your taxpayer-funded jet while having your relatives and friends flown all over the country exclusively for pleasure.

When she leaves (or is forced to leave by the voters), can she be investigated for misappropriation of funds or something like that. I just don’t think it’s right to by liquor on my dollar.
