radio.barackobama.com

The fate of health reform has been a focus of debate in living rooms and offices, on TV and online -- and on talk radio. And since millions of folks turn to talk radio as a trusted source of news and opinions, we need to make sure OFA supporters are calling in with a pro-reform message.

Sometime I think he only wants this passed to pi** on the Clintons. I believe he has a real hate for them. Passing this would (in Obama's mind) make him superior to both of them.

AND ISN'T THAT WHAT HE'S ALL ABOUT!!

Cult of Personality, plus propaganda. This website is funded by the DNC, yet the words “Democratic Party” appear no where on the site except in a little, nearly invisible box at the very bottom of the first page. I think they are making a mistake in the Cult of Personality category, because the old BO magic is gone, it is clear the emperor has no closes, and BO’s poll numbers are dropping like rocks.

Click the link. It’s priceless. I’ve never seen anything so blatant from any administration. The whole thing reeks of desperation.

Since when is it mandated that talk radio take phone calls?

Haha. I pressed “Give me another radio show” several times just to see who’s on the list. The incompetence is staggering. Here are some examples ...

- Dr. Laura Schlessinger — (1) she’s not on the air at the moment, so good luck getting someone to answer. (2) She does a relationship advice show ... not politics. A healthcare diatribe is irrelevant
- Thru the Bible — I kid you not.
- Democracy Now — an extreme left wing radio show that does not take calls. Ever (I listen frequently). They dislike Obamacare because it lacks a single-payer option.
- Focus on the Family — I don’t even think this is a radio show, I think it is a 2-minute update for Christian music stations.
- ABC News — Do they take calls?
- “Rush Limbaugh Morning Update” — a 2-minute opinion editorial. No calls accepted.

I’m not seeing this campaign being particularly effective.

Rush had a real live one call from New York last week.

Caller - “You are the reason I am no longer a Democrat”.

Rush - “so, what party have you joined?”

Caller - “the Working Families Party”

Rush - “...oh, the Communist Party”

Caller - “no, I said the Working Families Party”

Rush - “that’s what I said, the Communist Party”

Another priceless “Who’s On First” routine

"Hope one gets in to Rush today."

Rush's screeners are pretty good about catching "seminar callers"...he was onto those guys back in the 80's...obama thinks he discovered something new.

Maybe the bamster himself will do some calling...

All I got out of yesterday is that every single person around those tables can identify the problems, agree we need to solve them, but they cannot agree on how the cost of the reform will be paid and who the providers are ultimately going to be. I lean towards the private sector, because at least they can't ORDER me to have tests, or FORCE me to receive treatment (because one size fits all — it doesn't).

I want don't want to get “into the healthcare system” as it is right now because I don't want to pay for extra tests to cover the provider's rear end (I'm in a high deductible HSA), and I don't want all my records scattered over the four corners of the country because I shop around. I don't think anybody READS ANYthing anymore. Treatment gets all bollixed up because no one communicates and in the end, the care suffers and I'm screwed anyway — ALL ON MY OWN DIME. I also have seen “government triaged” Medicare at its best. It stinks. At some point I'm going to become my mother. She had no business being left alone in that system, and I won't either. She wound up with more prescriptions, tests and suffering which ultimately led to her death. I couldn't quit my job to be her full-time advocate, but damn she needed one. Finding competent physicians who are willing to treat elderly, unattractive, sometimes combative people of limited means is difficult. When the time comes, I think I'll just ask to have a bed somewhere and finally succumb to the “Better Living Through Chemistry” crowd's sales pitch and toke up. Hell, it's kept them from the harsh realities of life thus far.

On the flip side, I KNOW we're paying higher premiums because more and more people just show up at the ER. I don't want to pay for their negligence so they can have season tickets to the various sporting/entertainment venues. I pay enough for my own care, I can't afford theirs, as well.

This is the community organizer’s best ploy.
he wants to use Alinsky’s tactic of making a lot of noise by a few people to make their numbers look larger.

His problem is that people are on to him.
His numbers are tanking after his summit. He did himself up right this time and stepped on his own D*** trying to placate his base.

Nancy Pelosi has accused the Tea Party movement of "AstroTurfing," the political advertising, or public relations campaigns that are formally planned by an organization, but designed to mask its origins to create the impression of being spontaneous, popular "grassroots" behavior.

Well, this page, at BarackObama.com is a real example of AstroTurfing.

I would like to suggest that bottom-up, People-driven campaigns can also be effective, and encourage you to visit Organizing for America's webpage and serve them a portion of their own stew.

Skip Step 1 and Step 2 -- go straight to Step 3, and use the "Report Your Call" dialog to send David Plouff and company your thoughts -- make sure you click the "Yes" button next to the question, "Was your call on the air?" -- that should encourage the Obots to take the time to read your message.

Bury this site in counter-comments. Go there two, or three times a day. You don't even need to use your real email address. Send the link to your friends and associates and ask them to do the same. If enough comments are submitted we can blunt this attempt to control the discussion, and have some fun at the same time.

Remember Alinsky's Rule 6, "A good tactic is one 'my people' enjoy" -- so, enjoy!

Two can play this game. Hoist these suckers by their own petard.
