Jeb Bush calls Reaganism "irrelevant".

His father called Ronald Reagan a "calcified yahoo".

Insanity runs in families.

The Republican party is not the Reagan party.

The GOP is not the Bush's party either.
It was these same Bushes that led the GOP to its present sorry predicament whereby the Democrats have the White House, the Senate and the House.
It's a bit rich for the the very idiots who wrecked the Republican Party with their out of control spending, to turn round and tell us what to do.

” which he acknowledges Sarah Palin’s “charisma” but says she needs to add “some depth of understanding of the complexity of life”.

TYPICAL of this clan of elitist bastards.

Sarah Palin decided to bear and raise a kid with a seriously disability, she governed the largest in America - geographically, she campaigned with a nasty old loser for President.

I think THAT better qualifies her having a “depth of understanding of the complexity of life” than you ever will have you elitist scumbag.

I voted for John McCain for President because of Sarah Palin.

I wouldn’t vote for another damn Bush if Jesus Christ was his running mate.

I am always amused by the number of people that claim to love Reagan who never take his advice.

“I suppose the only way to truly attain that depth is to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth, and be handed successful positions based on your last name and father’s connections.”

That has been the Rockefeller/Romney/RINO/Bush way. It ain’t the Reagan way, nor is it, I daresay, the Palin way.

OR intellect. OR ability to communicate with the public.

Or basic decent down to earth humanity and dignity.

“You can’t beat something with nothing, and the other side has something. I don’t like it, but they have it, and we have to be respectful and mindful of that,” Mr. Bush said.

What the heck is he talking about? The Dems have nothing.

Since Reagan is a past President, does this mean we have to leave Washington and Lincoln behind.

...or learn from Palin’s example, for that matter.

If he is saying that we must become “progressives” to win he can just kiss my butt! If a majority no longer wants to be governed by The Constitution drastic measures may be called for.

Reagan was a conservative before he became a Republican.

Remember, Pres Reagan was a Dem long ago, but he himself said he didn’t leave the dem party, the party left him.

Since Jeb supports Rubio does that mean you oppose Rubio?

You gotta be kidding.
So if 0bama supports the Chicago Bulls, and you support the Chicago Bulls as well, that means you agree with 0bama on everything?
And when did Jeb Bush start supporting Rubio anyway? Wasn't it only recently, after Rubio had alrady taken the lead in the polls? Jeb Bush just but his finger in the air, saw which way the wind was blowing, and decided to “support” Rubio as well.

Jeb doesn't support Rubio, and in fact was FULL ON in Crist’s camp until he recently got wind of a possible third-party run by Crist. Then, all of a sudden, he discovered that supporting the stimulus (his brother's stimulus, BTW, which he supported at the time) was “unforgivable.”

Now he'll likely fall in line behind Rubio to cover his butt, but he certainly has shown NO love for Rubio so far.

Jeb, and Mitt, will throw their support behind a highly-favored candidate, or late in a race when a candidate looks like they have a chance at the end. Palin, however, puts it all on the line, having endorsed the VA governor, Scott Brown, Hoffman, Rubio, and Perry long before it was trendy to do so. Mitt was late to the party each time, or isn't even there yet at all; and Jeb keeps finding himself putting his credentials on the line for people who ultimately get smashed or revealed as not the loyal Republicans he promised they were.

I liked Jeb, and was willing to give him a pass on his family name WHEN he declares in 2016 (if we lose 2012) - that's WHEN, not IF. But this is his second shot at Palin, and second blast at Reagan nostalgia. I'm done with Jeb - NO MORE BUSHES, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“I am always amused by the number of people that claim to love Reagan who never take his advice.”

Reagan did not counsel the GOP to change or moderate its conservative principles in order to appeal to so called moderates. This appears to be what Jeb Bush is doing. It is what Gerald Ford did. It is what Bush 41 did. And whoever takes that approach is going to be opposed by conservatives, whether they call themselves Republicans or not.

And it is no violation of the 11th commandment to point that out or to point out what a boneheaded loser of strategy it has, and always will, be.

Jeb Bush, GOP: Time to leave Reagan behind.

Why not? Your family never believed in his policies anyway, Jeb.
