A pundit hit this whole exercise on the head. If you noticed, the Dems kept assuring the public that both sides were almost in agreement except for a few minor differences. This way when they pass it through reconciliation they can say the GOP was in favor of the majority of the bill except for one or two minor points that both sides couldn't agree on. They have their cover with voters who really didn't understand what they heard today. Shame on the GOP for not correcting this repetitive lie.

I noticed that (Dems saying there was almost agreement) but did not see at the time that it was a planned strategy. Despicable that they would manipulate the viewers that way.

I only saw the morning half of the summit, so I really appreciate your input, StarFan.
I did hear Zero's closing remarks and listened to Major Garrett's interpretation of those remarks. Sounds like the RATs are going to go the reconciliation route, incredibly.
Freakin' RATs. I think we all had better make our plans to march on Washington - yet again - VERY SOON. This is going to be WAR.
