It failed miserably as Republicans got a chance to keep saying they are listening to the American people and came equipped with facts not sob stories.
Our Republicans brought their “A” Team and the Dems their “C” team starting with the President.
A lot of fodder for some good campaign ads came out of this today especially ZERO basically calling us stupid for not caring about Senate rules and how many votes are needed.

I wish I’d been able to tune in to see all of this for myself, but just heard a few sound bites on (our side’s) radio shows.
A favorite sob story of mine was the tear jerker about the woman wearing her dead sister’s dental ‘plate.’
OK, this is too bad, but where in HEALTH CARE does it say anything about DENTAL care? The two are totally separate and policies are separate or addendums to the health policies.
Dental insurance is nowhere near as commonly held as health, and many if not most people don’t even carey it. I haven’t had it in YEARS as I am not in any union that provides it as a benefit. Most people I know in private industry have NO dental coverage even if it’s offered as it is not cost effective.
So now we all get to hear sob stories about peoples’ dental problems? Open your checkbooks people! This is all so out of control!
