They tried to ram the original bill “in a snap” first time ‘round. Wasn’t until they realized they didn’t have the votes did things slow down.

This time they only need 51 votes.
Sounds like today’s meeting is just for show, a charade designed to elicit the soundbites needed to justify ramming it through.
Methinks this meeting wouldn’t be happening, at least like this, if there weren’t 51 votes and a bill ready to go.
You haven’t actually SEEN his proposal, have you? AFAIK nobody has.

They learn.
I’d bet on full passage & signed in 1 week flat.

It has to pass the House first to even get the Senate to vote to pass with 51 votes and they didn’t have the votes in the House before today and after the performance of the RATs today most likely will have less votes.

Absolutely. I have some expensive, invisible merchandise I'd like to sell anyone who thought this so-called summit was anything other than a front for Obama to appear inclusive and tie Repubs to this bill one way or the other. This much more about what he (mistakenly) thinks will save his political than about betterment of healthcare/Americans.
