Instead of trying to cover the unemployed, why not try to get the unemployed, employed so they can cover themselves.

That would defeat the purpose of making them unemployed in the first place - so that they'll be so angry at life that they cede their liberty to the government.

There are millions of Americans working full time who do not get health insurance as part of their employment.

And a lot of them are self-employed.

Not to mention that getting hired doesn’t neceesarrily mean that you’ll get covered by the employer’s health care provision. That’s what all this discussion of pre-existing conditions is about.

It’s no longer that if you’ve got a job, you’ve got health care.
