Obama wanted this conversation to be on what they agree with in his plan.
The republicans would have none of it and are actually reading from the bill.
Obama is not happy and keeps telling them to keep to what they agree with.
Im actually thinking about tuning in!
Slaughter’s anecdote may not have told the whole story. We don’t know all the circumstances. Is it possible that the wearer of the teeth has some mental issues that led her to use her dead sister’s teeth in the first place? Could it be that she is unaware that many outlets for affordable dentures exist? I live in a rural area, and one of these denture places is a short drive away. They cater to elderly people who need their services. What’s bothersome is Slaughter’s implication that ONLY if this bill is passed, this type of thing will not happen in America anymore.
All I know is that if I were so destitute that I couldn’t afford dentures, I’d put away my dead sister’s set and suggest that family members give me money for birthdays if they insisted on giving a gift. if I had to. I’d save until I had at least a down payment for a set. There are many ways around things.
Yes, dear husband and I go twice a year for cleanings, etc. Course, we BUY OUR OWN dental insurance.
Many Universities with dental schools give free or reduced price exams and cleanings to all, esp. senior citizens.
Yes, my dear friend uses the Dental School for her cleanings. Saves her a good deal of money.

So it would appear the black community believe Bo is doing a great job trying to get Rep’s to do what Bo wants...the heck then with the facts presented or the lousey job demos are doing at this meeting...they have no facts just more sob stories.

Im watching the replay of Obama saying he bought a worthless car insurance policy without understanding what he bought, so tyhey laughed at him when he wanted his car fixed.
The kicker is the reason Obama was sold this policy was that government (Illinois no less) had set up bare legal requirements and thats all the policy was designed for.
Now, what the heck does he think is going to happen when government regulates what your health insurance can and cannot cover?
Not much. Republican doctor/congressmen treated it for a short time before “I am the President” cut them off.

The teeth story will be the stuff of laughter. We all know health insurance doesn’t cover teeth.
It was a great story and sound byte, amply illustrating where the Dems want to go with this...ie control ALL aspects of your life.
Now we need a Dem to get up and tell the story of a health insurance co. that wouldn’t cover a new wardrobe for a woman who, through no fault of her own, was born very ugly.
