Let’s remember that the man who was killed served two tours in Vietnam. He is the aggrieved party.
I can’t blame his family.
Why, will suing the wife bring him back?
No, but we can blame the tort pushers that sunk their claws into his family, before their husband's/father's body has been in the ground a week.
Suing the attacker's estate would be the normal and proper course. But, it's clear that won't bear fruit, so the blood-suckers pick another victim.
If Stacks wife didn’t know he was going to try to kill her, Ho in the fudge would she know that he was going to kill someone else?
So, the dead IRS worker has special rights to sue?
I understand the victim’s wife and family are distraught, but this seems quite a reach. How is she culpable unless she conspired with him to perform the action?
Is the wife of the man who killed the 5 Amish schoolgirls responsible for his actions? Should she have “known” what he was capable of and stopped him?
This sounds much more like a predator attorney preying on the family’s grief.
I sure as the he** can blame them. The wife did nothing to be sued for. This is totally out of line.
He CHOSE to work for the IRS. Whatever meritorious mention he might deserve for his Vietnam service, it is more than balanced out by that.
You’ve got to have larceny in your heart to feed at any government trough, but a special place in hell is reserved for those that choose to work for the Gestapo.
