And that is why it is a false choice of “free trade” v “protectionism”.
The real choice is Patriotism vs Elitism and Oligarchy.
I look at the fact that we traded freely before there was this so called “Free trade” of today.
These days we rely on foreign nations for far too many things that are vital to our survival as a nation. Its fine as long as they’re happy with us but they may not always be happy with us.
However many of our problems are right here in the form of excessive taxation, over regulation and out of control unions.
